NFL/NCAA Feet: '12-'13 Football Equipment/Cleats/etc. Vol. Nike is back in the NFL!

The shoes LeBron & Kobe wears are not the same exact shoes you can go into footlocker and buy off the shelf
these are 2 different shoes

and Nike didnt release the last bowl game or BCS gear to the public so idk
I hope they keep it that way
Its just like this is tennis too.

Roger Federer didn't actually wear the last two models of the Vapor series, he wore the model from 2009.

Definitely makes it more special when you get "real" PEs. (Federer ones run from 500 to 22K)

BTW: wish you the best of luck PleaseSayTheBaby23! Even w/o the equipment and etc... , just playing for chip would be awesome.

doubt it.
if you can run a good 40 and complete the drills 9/10 you will make it
now getting PT and a scholarship is a different story
got slew of teammates and coaches playing or went to big universities so I know the ends and outs
my main concern is classes and the cost. plus living.

I see you trying to walk on but I wouldn't underestimate it as being a lock cause you run a nice 40.

Not to say that you cant do it, don't get me wrong, all for it as I've lightweight walked on a pac 12 program myself, but with their increasing popularity and if there's even an actual need for bodies in the secondary it can really go either way.

Either way get in contact ASAP with someone from there and don't wait for anything last minute, be proactive and grind like no tomorrow and you should be straight :smokin

You'd love Eugene tho, great scenery and great herbs

what school in florida do u attend.
you better get your coach to atleast put a word in, if not, you will be swimming up hill without a paddle.

Realistically, that's not true man, especially at the U of O. I'm from Eugene and our running back in high school ran a 4.50 40m and an 11.1 100m (actually beat Barner at a track meet) and got no love from Chip Kelly. You gotta realize that they can get speed wherever and however they want so speed alone won't get you in the door there. I'm not sayin don't try, but I want you to have that in mind before you get up there. The school is chill, its a typical state school but the athletes are treated like kings.

Now that I know a Nike Carbon Vapor Fly 2 is coming, I dont know if I really even want to try any Vapor Talons. From a purely esthetics point, I hate the large NIKE branding on the back of the Vapor Talon. I dont understand why Nike thinks that the swoosh isnt enough branding on their product.

We went from the Nike Vapor Jet 4.2 with a single swoosh on the back
1000

To the Nike Carbon Fly with an added swoosh on the toe
1000

Then the small swoosh on the back wasnt enough so for the Vapor Talon they added the huge "NIKE" on the heel
1000

1000

The Nike Carbon Fly 2 continues with this over-branding, although not a large. I hate the "NIKE" on the side
1000

Just checked the Nike team site again and found a new color-way for the Carbon Fly 2

I was waiting for Nike to drop an all white Vapor Jet 4.2, but finally these! They look so clean!

I know first hand that walking onto a D1 team isn't THAT difficult as many assume. I'm not saying its easy at all, but coaches look for guys who can help out in practice and are hardworkers. Walk-ons are really there for practices..stepping in for key players to stay healthy and whatnot.

Yup- the all white CF2 will be copped. The 'Nike' on the side, like everyone has said is :smh:. I wonder if the CF2 will still fit the same going a half size up?

Vapor Carbon Fly>Talon Elite

which is the exactly what im trying to do and I will express that to the coaches that im willing to fill any spot and would love to contribute and be apart of the Oregon football team

Soooooo much in agreement with this!!! Its ridiculous to just clutter up the shoe with the huge NIKE branding. You have a great, sleek logo in the Swoosh, just keep it like that! Its a highly-recognized logo worldwide, no need to say Nike on the shoe. Just looks completely juvenile, especially dumb on that Zoom Vapor Carbon Fly 2.

I hate that all these cleats run so narrow...Only cleats I haven't had a problem with is the Jordan 3's

Lol you are talking to someone here (me) that was a d1 prospect and played.

I simply asked where u go to high school in Florida.

You said it was a reputable one..cool.. So did I. Plant high in Tampa.

And yes, making a D1 squad is not that difficult.

Playing is another story, being a scrub on practice squads would be more realistic.

You seem cocky, for not even (what it assumes like) not even having a walk on offered to you.

But I don't want to ruin your dreams.

I hope the best for you.

But do realize, you need your coach to atleast put a word in.

Nike also designed shirts to celebrate each possible outcome.
42-56996-F.jpg

42-56998-F.jpg

The first is directly mentioning USC and the second makes no mention of oregon. I don't really see how the second really celebrates the outcome. Feel like they could have done better. Just my .02.

I said I could careless about playing time I wanted the experience of being on a team even if I was a tackling dummy....but I know I would put more effort into it! I love being on scout team and balling out and making the starters run and do up downs :smokin

I had letters n offers I couldnt make the NCAA clearing house

not cocky at all thats why I came out and said
I will express that to the coaches that im willing to fill any spot and would love to contribute and be apart of the Oregon football team

Why couldn't you make the NCAA clearing house?

:smokin partying hitting the beach wit girls

keg parties

thought I was the best thing on campus skipping class knowing my coaches gonna get me outta of trouble

it all caught up to me n I had a real mental break down

pops and moms was goin thru a horrible divorce so never had the guidance

Does anybody have any idea what football this is? I can not make out what it says and this is the best picture i could find.

Was snooping Eastbay and saw USC, LSU, FSU, OSU cleats....
