HBO's Game of Thrones: Season 2 Official Thread *Ep. 10* "Valar Morghulis" 6/03 @9pm ET/PT

GoT: Hands down the best show in TV right now. My brother got me into this show and I've watched all 19 episodes to date in two weeks. Plan on reading the books this summer.
I know everybody loves the imp's character and rightfully so, but my personal favorite is the "Young Wolf" Robb Stark. Dude is a savage avenging his father's name.

Sincerely hoping the stretched budget doesn't ultimately affect or discontinue the series.

Episode was pretty good and yeah to who ever above said about picturing this battle during the daylight. Anybody else notice that GRRM wrote this episode?

They did well with what they had I guess

Then just stop watching the show, it isn't getting much better than that.

I purposely read each book after the season ends. I don't want to get disappointed like some of y'all seem to be getting. Haven't even started the second book yet.

Yup. He also wrote episode 9 last season.

Episode was great. When the ship exploded and flattened everything around it, people cut in half, the hound, bron, everyone chanting "halfman", and Tywin coming through....

Tywin is one of my fav characters. Perfect actor to play the role, even though every time I see him, I think of the last action hero lol..

Can't wait to see what exactly the house of the undying is and the *%%* that's about to happen within the Lannister camp once Tyrion remembers what happened to him and Sansa/Hound situation...

Agreed, but I remember him as the King from Your Highness.

I gotta watch that movie again, I don't even remember his part.  Dinklage has the little person roles on lock

.  Him plus the actor from the Pirates of the Caribbean movies and the actor from Bad Santa.

Your Highness was a horrible movie. do yourself a favor and never watch it again, do us all a favor and never mention it again.

awesome episode overall. they fit in a lot of great dialogue leading up to the battle. i thought the entire episode would be chaos, but it still had a good balance. interested to see how they finish out the season.

the actual battle was pretty awesome. seemed about as realistic as could be. wasnt as epic as some of the Spartacus jump offs, but the acting/writing are what have always set Thrones apart... not the gore.

that explosion though....

The episode was amazing but one thing I felt was that they could have been a little more clear depicting exactly how each progression of the battle took place.

There was a lot going on and there wasn't a lot of scope, it wasn't always clear to me the numbers each side had and who had the advantage at any given moment.

One second Stannis and his men have no chance, the next second they've seemingly won the battle, then Tyrion steps up, then he goes down, and before you know it Tywin Lannister arrives to save the day.

It was probably the Headband I was toking on but it just seemed like things could have been more clear.

That explosion was epic! Everything but the first 10min was amazing!
"Any man dies with a clean sword, I will rape his f..'n corpse!"

.. best quote ever!!

So I finally picked up the first book of the series, kind of excited about it but I know it's gonna take me a whole year to finish it since I can never finish a book

I agree, everything happened pretty fast.  Whoever had the upperhand would change quickly.  We should remember that Stannis had Renly's forces combined with his but then most of his fleet was blown up.  Then the remaning men stormed the shores. It looked like Tyrion and the rest of them were able to hold them off until a larger number charged them.  Then a few minutes later Stannis' forces are retreating when the Lannister army arrives.  Might've been hard to follow for some people.
