Coffee Drinkers: Come In

Vanilla creamer and 3 packs on sweetener. I don't even like sweeteners but it taste :pimp: in my coffee

just bought a single serve french press. Looking into beans right now, saw a pretty cool site online called coffeecsa.org that send you new beans every month....

I don't drink coffee everyday so don't know if I'll need that much. Anyone recommend some beans? I drink my coffee black and like a medium roast

I have a subscription with modern times that delivers 2 bags of amazing coffee a month. I also drink verve, portola, and intelligentsia. SoCal is so hot right now I make cold brew on my French press. I have a batch brewing with toasted coconuts that I can't wait to try with dark chocolate almond milk.

Anybody ever tried any of the Starbucks Reserve coffees from one of their Clover machines?  My local Starbucks stores don't have that, but was out of town and about to use a free coffee code when the barista told me I should try it and damn that was some good coffee.  Can't remember exactly which one they served me, but it was the best tasting coffee I've ever had from Starbucks before.  I'm usually a brew at home kind of guy, but Starbucks is convenient and brews a strong cup, which is exactly how I like it.

I've looked into those kind of services where you can get freshly roasted beans sent to you, but I just never wanted to pay for it

even though it isn't a bad deal sometimes.

Dunkin Donuts
Medium/large, dark roast, iced coffee, w/ a turbo shot (espresso), oreo or rocky road or blueberry (peppermint mocha when in season) flavor. No cream, no sugar. :smokin

I ended up going to sprouts and grinding my own beans and keep them in a sealed jar

tasted pretty good this am, have a cold brew brewing right now

My local Starbucks has this reserve bar. I've been tempted to order a pour over but I HATE Starbucks. I grab an americano or a cold brew now and just chug it. I only order there when my gf is in the mood for coffee.

my brother works at starbucks...he always grabs me a bag of beans for my french press...my favorite is the sumatra...super dark roast...

i started to do a cold brew a couple of weeks ago and it was awesome...great for the summer time down here in houston...

also i have been saving my left over coffee and freezing it to make iced coffee...that way the cubes don't water down the drink...

something like this...

Need to start buying coffee and brewing it at home. I spend too much money on Starbucks, even if I am just getting a tall Pike. Been nervous about transporting coffee in the morning and have it spilling. I need to get a real good spill/leakproof cup.

Here's a in-depth breakdown of the best travel mug

I haven't used it, but I'll eventually buy one just because the cheaper mugs I've randomly bought end up leaking or aren't the highest quality.

Checking in

shout out to aeropress, viet coffee, and double espressos on ice

I actually like/plan on the cubes watering down the drink a bit with iced coffee.

The coffee you make with iced coffee is basically a concentrate, so you need to water it down/milk/etc. to balance the taste for me. What I used to do was just like 1 part coffee to 4.5 parts coffee, leave that mixed together in the fridge overnight, then strain that out and boom, that's your cold brew concentrate. Add some ice, some milk, sugar, whatever and you're good.

Now I also just use the aeropress, brew the coffee over a couple of ice cubes and throw it right in the freezer and wait about 10-15 minutes and I'm good.

Became a coffee drinker this summer. Still novice.

I went from frapps to straight cold brews and pour overs without sweeteners by the end of the summer.

Granted I did weep a few times

I developed an appreciation for the taste

Bro I don't know if we can get this stuff in NY. Def looks like a perk of Cali :smokin
No it's not. There are viet coffee shops in the lower east side/lower Manhattan and bk that offer both.

Just been drinking iced lattes with 3 extra shots from the local Dominican bakery lately. No sugar or anything added.

I'm still enjoying my regular coffee with a splash of half and half and a couple of sugars. That or I'll make my own latte at home.

I went from the standard drip to a french press to the Aeropress and I've used a mini Moka pot as well here and there. The Chemex is my next purchase for sure.

My coffee game needs stepping up. My dad has a french press but I have no idea how to use it.

I used to do cold brews all the time during the summer. One time I let it sit for like a week, using a little bit every day. By the last day the beans had steeped so long I was wired for like 10 hours.

I wanna try experimenting with different beans now. I also need to make my coffee less blond...I feel so novice sometimes.

My gf clowns me and says "you don't drink coffee with a bit of milk, you drink milk with a bit of coffee"

Wait.. you let the beans sit for an entire week? Good lord

Whenever I do cold brew I just let the coffee grounds sit in water overnight, then filter it out and that's  what I use for the coffee.

Cold brew most definitely is meant to be diluted (doesn't mean you have to though)

Granted only started drinking coffee a few months ago, so might be hyper sensitive to caffeine, but my first pot or two I drank straight and was wired up big time

Got that Hario cold brew pot on Amazon, $15, make a brew every 2-3 days, so beans def have a chance to steep

Found that dark roasts don't come out too great in the cold brew, mainly sticking to lighter roasts.

Any suggestions for a nice bold tasting bean for the cold brew? Mainly been sticking to reg supermarket brands like lavazza, star bucks, etc

Everyone will always say your best bet is a local shop that's been freshly roasted.. There aren't really too many options like that near me so I'm usually stuck with supermarkets as well.

I love Intelligentsia if you can find it. They print the roasting date on the package so you know how fresh it is.. my Target used to carry it.

I stay in an upscale apt complex and they got a starbucks machine in the lobby... **** is dope, its free of course.
