I listen to Mel Kiper's radio show with Dari Nowkhah every Saturday morning and he definitely OD's on his phrases. Another one is, "when you're talking about Andrew Luck, you're talking about the best prospect since John Elway in 1983." He literally says it every time Luck is mentioned.
Can't forget Hubie Brown's "painted area" and "Player X will give you 14 points and 8 rebounds a game and shoot a high percentage inside 15 feet"

-Derrick Rose may need to Andre Miller-ize his game a lil...
-Glad I been riding with Westbrook all season. I never really saw any personality in D.Rose. I've never been big on stoic players. I liked KG more than Duncan throughout his whole runs
-Assuming the Lakers see round 2, I can't wait to see the "Durant rules" go into play with Barnes and MWP. The weight and skill differences should make for some crazy moments.
-Big men anger me. There hasn't been an all 5 in the NBA for a while now. D-12 is too much of a cancer to be considered "all"-around IMO. He's not nearly as dominant as he should be offensively. Marc Gasol? Over paid. Solid, but only by today's standard. Javale? IDK how he produces while looking ******ed, but it's starting to happen. Nene/STAT are 4s to me. The best 5 in the NBA is probably Gasol on a good night, and he's also 4. Bynum is still a brat. I hate it... and I'm a Lakers fan. Where's the tall people go?

when a guy gets drafted by a MLB team out of high school (ie Brandon Weeden) and then comes back to school to play football how does that not void his college athletics eligibility?
minor leagues PAY the players don't they? Is there a specific loophole for baseball players in particular or did Brandon Weeden not play football under a scholarship at OSU?

If sports movies didn't have your favorite team, they would not mean as much.
I absolutely love Major League, but if it was another team I'd still probably like it based of the humor itself, but I wouldn't feel attached to it in a way.

I wish the NBA playoffs was shorter. Go back to best of 5 first round and less time in between the 7 game series' and we're good. I wish I could do something about this.

The longer the playoffs are stretched out the more revenue is made by teams and the L so thats never gonna happen.
Also the celtics are playing the heat after one day off. The playoffs are good the way they are now. 7 games makes it real.
