Iight yall tell me this....If all his Mixtapes were Albums and released in stores would he be considered one of the greatest of all time?

I dont care what anyone says...He is one my favorite artist of ALL TIME...I have never Skip any of his songs...all his mixtapes are on point, name me any other artist right now that have put out 3 near damn classics...no one ...people are just blind at the talent...and you have some people on here to that say Krit is one of there favorite artist of all time....that just shows you what type impact his music has...hes not gettting the recognition he deserves he needs more....The roots,9th wonder Bun, TI have acknowledge this dude....He is your rappers favorite rapper...I guarantee that ##$!.

For this exercise to even be slight weight meaningful we have to revisit it in ten years but K.R.I.T. has a couple of things working in his favor.

If I had a top ____ list, Wayne's not moving up it, Ball and G aren't moving up it, TIP is very unlikely to move up it but he could, I'd bet the house that K.R.I.T. will almost certainly move up it.

I REALLY hate list but if we're talking all time, every region, strictly solo contributions, K.R.I.T. is nosing around the top 30 or so and he doesn't even have a label backed album out.

Like I said putting him the GOAT discussion now is premature but it's not outrageous.
 
I really enjoy the stuff he's been putting out, but I don't consider him GOAT.

Like his work, it's really different from the other stuffs that's been dropping.

Pretty much. I know OP feels extremely strong about this, but he should have put the disclaimer that Krit is the best new artist of the South, and based
on Ace Rawstein's post (that apparently no one has read), he's exactly that. And based on purely the music and not money/success/popularity, I wanna

laugh at SHWAP for including Wayne. 
 
Lil Wayne catalog pre-2007 > Big KRIT and that's that. You can argue all you want but NT hates everything Wayne so I really won't read so save your finger strength. I don't have Wayne in my top 25 and he's > KRIT. What honestly has KRIT done that no other rapper has done? What has he done better than any other rapper? What has he done to give a spin to what other rappers has done. I ride with his $*+! but yall need to all the way chill.
 
^^^Well, Wayne has been rapping since 93, so I can see how you can make your case based 93-06 vs 2 years of Krit's music. So you don't have to read it, but it's here for you.
 
Im in MD and I think Krit is the best thing coming out the south since Outkast. I think he has the potential to be ONE of the g.o.a.t. based on the sheer quality, diversity, and amount of heart that went into his last 2 tapes. Real talk. I find myself listening to "boobie miles" and "sky club" at least once a day since they dropped.

I don't see the claim of not being able to name another rapper from the south in the past 3 years that has dropped "heat" like Krit. I don't even know of any new southern artists in the past 3 years that were even decent.

Like does J. Cole even count as a southern rapper?

So to me that's nothing impressive when you ask me to look for other southern rappers doing it as good as he is. Expand that to new rappers period and I might not even rank him.

Lets expand it to new rappers...last five years or whatever.

He is at the top of list, top 5 IMO, in everything not named sales or popularity

The music, the progression, the building of his fanbase speaks for itself. Of course he is not a household name yet due to certain factors but he could be on his way.

Being objective I cant give him the edge over Drake, being bias he blows him out the water. 

Kid is  isshtn on Wiz musically. Cant even compare him to Nicki. BoB not even close. Wale lettuce be cereal. Meek Mill....really

J. Cole can rap better than him but he cant produce better than him and son built up a better following as well...so i cant really call it on that one.

We can take it underground and get into cats putting in work as well...the Curren$y's, Kendrick's, Dom's or whatever east coast acts u want to name or ppl we rarely hear about

Im just seeing the 3 albums this kid dropped back to back to back and the work he puttin in is worth way more than alot of yall are giving him credit for. Not no GOAT talk like OP was sayin but top 10 doing it right now is no reach at all in my opinion.
 
im bumping this thread because as i was sitting here sipping my tequila, and listening through all of his projects….it hit me. krit really is the real deal. I've always been a big fan of dude since years back but i took a break from bumping him heavy because I'm a fan of a lot of artists and being a fan of hip hop music these days can get overwhelming. he can produce his *** off, and his writing and thought provoking lyrics are unmatchable. true story its crazy how i found this thread. off that tequila just like OP was when he made this thread, i googled "is big krit the goat" because thats how i am truly feeling at the moment…..at least as far as modern day rappers go. dude has so many classic records imo.……aint no one dropped anything to match this dude in years
