Can anyone confirm the story behind....

I feel like I've heard this story somewhere before, kind of remember it...Or I'm crazy and I made it up, but can anyone confirm the story of MJ wearing#12 in a game against the Magic during the 1990 season? I believe that his game jersey was stolen or lost and he had to wear number 12. Any insight isappreciated!!!
 
Its true, a game in orlando. 89/90 season. Somebody stole them right out of the locker room!
He also had a pair of shoes stolen once, he had to rock Penny's!

someone was telling me the MJ wore 5 different numbers in a game....I knew the obvious ones, 23, 9 and 45....12 is the fourth.....does anyone know the otherjersey number MJ wore?...this is a serious question I don't know the answer to

^^ funny story....it was a trivia question somewhere and my computer got all messed up and I couldn't see the next page with the answer on it....I brieflytried wikipedia and other online sites but haven't had the time to look at anything else....I really would like to know cuz like you said it's one ofthose "hmmm's?"

the answer is 5 for the pan-american games in 1984 when he was coached by bob knight.
 
A bit of irony....
The photo on Sam Vincent's (Bobcat's Head Coach) NBA Hoops basketball card has MJ in the frame with the 12 jersey on. I remember back in the day it wasworth a little bit more because of it. I think I still have the card somewhere at my Mom's house. I wonder how much it is worth now?



 
Yes, like everyone is saying above me his jersey was stolen in Orlando before the game. He had to wear #12 because of it.

He wore The Air Flight Ones in the 1995 Playoffs against the Magic. They were technically Penny's shoe but they weren't the Air Penny's. And hewore them because he was going to receive a fine for wearing the white/black XI's. The Bulls, as a team were wearing primarily black shoes. So for one gamehe wore the black Air Flight Ones. The last two games in that series he wore the infamous Space Jams.

That series was pretty memorable. Not because the Bulls lost in six, but MJ switched back to #23 in that series, and also broke out the XI's for thefirst time!
 
I wish I had the picture to show you guys....But there's also a high school all star game picture and MJ is wearing a random number.
