But in Santa Clara? So lame.
It's on the Great America parking lot and literally across the street from the 49er HQ.
But the city of SF is to blame for the Niners going to Santa Clara..

As much as I wanted the Niners to stay in the city, I'm stoked it's going to be in Santa Clara. Closer to me.

Man; ya'll really deserve to of had it in SF - I remember first moving to SF in 2007 - and everyone was talking about it. Possibly sharing stadiums with the Raiders until the stadium got built but like NikeTalk23 said - it is the city of SF's fault for not keeping it there.

I love Santa Clara, don't get me wrong - but when I eventually move back - I don't want to have to travel 45min-1 hour minimum just to catch a Niners game.

Can't front though, that joint is nasty. And I can't wait to see it in 3-5 years.

they tryna break ground before they celebrate on the 20th

A lot of Niner fans attending the games come from all over NorCal so I don't think location is a big deal. Boo hoo, you gotta make the drive from San Pablo now.

And Santa Clara has the real estate. Where could you nestle a stadium like that in SF?

Exactly. I was at the NFC championship game and heard one guy tell his kids that it would now be an hour drive to a game so they probably won't be going as much. I'm a season ticket holder and live 4 hours away from SF. I wish it could have stayed in SF, but it does shorten my drive a little.

Looks nice, the drawings did leave out 'ugly' details like gates and entrances though

49ers deserve a top notch stadium

This stadium looks nice from these pictures State of The ART after watching that game when the lights went out I'm sure the people that were planing this was like ok thats enough lets get this ball rolling

The thing about Candlestick that was nice was how it was right on the water. Now it's just in a bedroom community nowhere near the coast.

Driving to the game isn't that bad but trying to get out was hell especially during the playoffs. I'm going to miss the Stick too.

Love it. Love Candlestick but it's time..As a season ticket holder I'm GLAD we're going to Santa Clara.

Will forever be the SAN FRANSISCO 49ers though.

Looks really good. I noticed the multiple athletic fields in the background, I didn't know it was going to be a whole complex.

Looking forward to the new stadium, the drive is about the same for me. Hopefully the parking situation is better, was just a mess for me leaving candlestick.
