New 49ers Stadium Construction - Season Tickets Sold Out 100% - Update PG 07/01 Pg. 13 - Levis Stadi

Levi's Stadium? I guess it stays true to our team's namesake. Google Field would've been nice, I mean anything since we'll be in the heart of the Silicon Valley. But hey, it's $220 Mil for the name, we just gotta keep killing it. :smokin

Levi bought the naming rights. Levi Stadium

Laugh it up champ.  As if O.co Coliseum is in any way better.

This morning when it was announced that Levi's would be purchasing naming rights, Brodie Brazil of Comcast Sports Net suggested that the stadium be called 501 Field.  Even though the name of the stadium doesnt really matter all that much to me, I think his suggestion was 100x better than Levi's Stadium.

Im laughing at how these names sound terrible. O.Co is the worst name for a stadium

Yeah....but ultimately, who really cares.  People only care if its an AWESOME name.  Like you said, it almost expected for stadiums to have stupid names these days.

Oakland coliseum is better than Levi's stadium
I thought it was technically Overstock.com Coliseum

Damn. If true than I take that back. Everytime the mariners play the a's the announcers call it Oakland coliseum

I hate the name O.co coliseum but I still think Levi's is worse. If people said overstock.com then it would sound worse but at least they came up with an abbreviation . I don't know Levi's just sounds so ******g stupid to me but whatever, it's just a name.

A least it is known that Levi is based out of SF, some of these random companies that people have no idea where they are from (mainly energy and financial names)

I think it's a perfect match.

Levis was founded and based out of San Francisco, and started off as a company that sold jeans to gold miners. It's ties in to San Francisco and the "49ers" history perfectly. When I think of Levis I think of tough, classic, western jeans used by hard working people. It fits our philosophy perfectly too.

It's a nice match.

Levis Strouss Stadium sounds good.

I mean, yeah, ultimately the name of the stadium doesn't matter. People will mostly call it Niner/49er Stadium or something to that effect and after a couple more days no one is going to think about it.

But let's not pretend it isn't a terrible name for a football stadium.

I honestly don't think it's a bad name given the company, it's history and how it ties in to the team. Plus I like Levi jeans :\ ..

U Of Pheonix is a bad name.

But of course Raider fans are going to claim it's a bad name. You guys are quick to find any reason to hate anything 49er related. Salt and envy drives your hatred.
