2013 SRT Viper - 640hp 8.4l V10

I believe the current ZR1 actually beat the new Viper in a few tests/track races already.
 
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the Viper. The styling, the precision, and the amount of engineering that went into both the old and new models. And I also LOVE that it's naturally aspirated. No waiting for a turbine to spool up. No supercharger stealing power from the crank. Power all the time.  
 
Love the new Viper, saw it in person finally at the LA auto show and it looks so mean. ZR1 is nice but i think i'd get the Viper, ZR1 may be faster but in reality you can't tell the difference considering the Viper is right up there with it.

I'm a huge Mustang fan and i love the GT500 but in no way is it even in the same class with the Viper and Vette. Mustang is too heavy and will perform nowhere near the latter two on its best day.

Always been a GM and Corvette guy.... But this is HOT :smokin

I just want to hear the engine start and ill be happy :D

of course its not in the same class im just saying that i was expecting more power from the viper dass it.

When automakers are building a performance car, they don't look at power. They look at power per pound. It's all about optimization. They could tune it to make it get more power, but it's not optimal for emissions and fuel economy. 

Also, the Shelby has a huge supercharger

Yeah but you're comparing a forced induction motor to a N/A. The V10 in the Viper is one of the most powerful naturally aspirated motors in the world. I believe it has the most torque of any non boosted engine in a production car.

Yep, I believe so. I have a lot of respect for the technology behind Turbos and Superchargers but all motor is the way to go.

but it looks OKAY... I still prefer the 2nd gen viper GTS
 
I aint eem into American cars like that (fan of Camaro's and Stangs only).

Never been a fan of vipers, but DAMN. That joint is vicious.
