THE NIKE HYPERFUSE 2012 OFFICIAL THREAD

I made a trip to the mall to check these out today. I loved the 2010"s ( 3 pairs), didnt like the 2011's. Played in those maybe 4 times.

The 2012's are how they look- Higher off the ground and higher on the ankle. They look a little bulky but nothing crazy. Very little flex on the soles when trying on, but I think they will break in if you wear them. Very stiff feeling though. I like them looks wise better than 2011's, but doubt I will make a purchase, but you never know. Could be a purchase with a coupon or something to try, Very happy with my 2012 hyperdunks right now. FYI, I play in them, not for casual wear
gracias senor, will still try them on, but its nice to get some feedback with performance in mind, i think i will be going with the 12 hyperdunks with a coupon tho, but quick question, have you balled in the 11 hyperdunks? how do they compare to the 12s? i see some deals for 11 hyperdunks and i might want to do that, its just hard trying any on because i havent been able to find anywhere in my area that still sells them

wow, the actual shots look much better than the catalog pics as always.

but that midsole is way too high off the ground for any good feel of the court. nice sole though. only forefoot zoom?

right there with ya :smokin

@ Zyzz ... how do these fit compare to the 2010 or 2011 pairs. Most of my Hyperfuses in the past were 1/2 a size big. According to Eastbay, these run true to size.

i have not tried these on.

all nike basketball shoes fit true to size for me. the 2010 lows i bought in my normal size 11 and fit perfect.

i had the 2011 mids i wore for 2 games and they fit perfect and got those in a size 11.

when the lows drop i will buy an 11 as well.

Does anyone when mall stores or nike stores are getting the home USA version Westbrook has been wearing?? my local champs got them in kids sizes but not sure if mens sizes will be available....

I've only seen the away version online.... and just the all black c/w at stores...

the hyperfuse caught my eye more than the HD's...but I love the 2008 HD better than any other shoe IMO :smokin

The hate is strong in this thread.

I hooped in 2011 Hyperfuse they were okay. Personally I've never even thought about wearing Hyperfuse or Hyperdunks casually, it's just not me... These on the other hand have a ton casual appeal. The USA cw is too clean and the dark green check on the volts looks great. I'm sure they're below par when it comes to performance........ but I can freak these

Tried these on in the store today. Stiff as all hell. Felt like it would cause lots of lower leg fatigue. Didn't cop.

2010 & 2011 >

Don't get the hate. Last years model was ugly with the side panels and didn't have good colorways. These are a bit different but they are nice, and colorblocking is much better this time around. Apparently good to ball in. Will pick up the USA pair to test them out.

I don't like the HF 2012, but I will add these to my SU collection if they see a retail release. Don't see why they wouldn't since UNC and Mich State had Carrier Classic shoes release last year.

think im going to get the photo blues, imma see how these fit and then decide if i need to add these to the rotation (kobe VII supremes and jordan 2012 deluxe have been good to me so far)

Translucent soles on basketball shoes should never happen. They lose a significant amount of traction from normal rubber out-soles.

That being said this year's Hyperfuse fits a lot better than last year's. I had to return mine though because on the inner sole there's a part where two pieces of hyperfuse meet, and it rubbed my ankles raw. I haven't heard of this happening with anybody else so I might have just been something to do with my feet. But I just returned them and bought the Lebron Soldier 6, which is by far the best basketball shoe I've ever played. Lighter than the Hyperfuse and with a better lock-down and cushioning setup. And they are only about $15 more, which is definitely worth it in my book.

There's nothing about these releasing on Nikestore's calendar or the House of Hoops. I don't get how Nike dropped the ball this year after releasing shoes for both teams that played in the inaugural Carrier Classic.
