THE NIKE HYPERFUSE 2012 OFFICIAL THREAD

Translucent soles on basketball shoes should never happen. They lose a significant amount of traction from normal rubber out-soles.

That being said this year's Hyperfuse fits a lot better than last year's. I had to return mine though because on the inner sole there's a part where two pieces of hyperfuse meet, and it rubbed my ankles raw. I haven't heard of this happening with anybody else so I might have just been something to do with my feet. But I just returned them and bought the Lebron Soldier 6, which is by far the best basketball shoe I've ever played. Lighter than the Hyperfuse and with a better lock-down and cushioning setup. And they are only about $15 more, which is definitely worth it in my book.
interesting

Would scoop everything if given the chance....

still waiting for lows. not sure what takes nike so freakin long to release low version of shoes.. :smh:

When will these be released?

The Florida Hyperfuse is already out in Asia. Its looking a drop on the 16th along with the Syracuse Hyperdunk PE. Those and the Ohio State's are the only ones in the Carrier Classic pack that have a retail date. The UConn and Michigan State's appear to be shoes that you need an equipment manager connect for which is disappointing b/c the Spartans PE is executed perfectly.

What is the cushioning set up for the Hyperfuse 2012? The past versions were forefoot zoom air only. Is this still the same set up? I need heel and forefoot zoom air, it feels way better to play ball in. Thanks in advance.

damn i was looking forward to those msu's

It's not Lunar cushioning. They is a low profile Nike Zoom in the heel and forefoot.

The Hyperdunk has the Lunar cushioning set up.

Look at these new "Supremes".

I bet the Camo colorways are going to be on this version.

I wish they made these with both heel and forefoot zoom air. I've been using my SB insoles in my older Hyperfuses and its great. I can't even find a decent bball shoe with this set up except for the Hyperdunk 2011s or the Kobes.

Thinking about getting these now. Finish Line has them on sale for $79, (some colorways) plus hopefully another $10 coupon to make them $70.
