I honestly can't comprehend a V12 in a GWagon. We just got a '12 G550 and it's quick as hell for it's weight. But you can't even push it that hard because it will roll over

few random car geek statements...

1- not the first V-12 SUV... that would be the Audi Q7, even though it was a diesel...
2- the V12 G65 will not be brought over here... were only getting the G63 with the Twin Turbo V8
3- SLS has a NA V8, and Mercedes has always used V12's...

They're shutting it down? Why?
I'm not sure if it is limited but they also have a G63 AMG with 544hp and 560lb-ft torque, which might be more widely available. The 2013 G-series comes out this August in the US.

I don't know I remember reading something that this will be the last generation, but maybe it was a false rumor (hope so), not many cars have so much class.

BTW the base price (3 L, 211 bhp) will be around 100 grand, while the G65 will set you back by more then 300 000!!! That's more than Ferrari money...The only Benz I'd prefer over this is the S65.
 
NEVER been a fan of the G wag. The v twizzy is impressive... But I'd much rather that in a coupe.

Props to the cats shouting out the Continental GT.
