It's considered the second biggest worldwide hip hop scene after the U.S. Many of the French hip hop artists come from the poor urban areas on the outskirts of large cities known as banlieues (suburbs). Like the US, the major cities of France have produced some of the biggest names in French Hip Hop

Whether this is new to you or veteran, you should give it a listen because whether you understand the lyrics or not (I can't even understand some english speaking cats... *Cough *Gucci*Cough*) the beats are dope and flow is smooth. Just take my word for it

I'm not a fan.

I was about to say the same thing. Worst remix I've ever heard.
International rap is NOT the business. It works better in English because the language isn't as well-structured as most other languages. Ever listen to rap in Spanish? Same thing, it just doesn't work. I can barely stand rap from England.

Disagree. Calle 13 and Tego Calderon are ill imo.. Very lyrical. The slight issue is slang/terminology especially with Puerto Rican rappers.

Worst experience with French rap, hand down: throw on "All N My Grill" from Missy Elliott's Da Real World and instead of Big Boi.. Mc Solaar makes an appearance.. -_______-

IAM are considered the best and greatest of all time, I would try to give the american counterpart but that is up to debate on this forum

I used to have a handle on french rap when my sister lived in Paris (95-98) and would send me cds and tapes, but it's been years since I delved into that world. Nice to see some of the stuff I listened to then is still well regarded, Iam, Mc Solaar.

the instrumental of this was used in Ocean's 12 during the laser security part with Danny's rival
