COMIC-CON: AVATAR: THE LAST AIRBENDER AND THE LEGEND OF KORRA PANEL WILL TEASE THE FUTURE



BY ALEX OSBORNIt turns out that cool new Airbender and Korra merchandise won't be the only presence from the Avatar world at SDCC, as it has been revealed that a panel centered around Nickelodeon's Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra will be held next month during San Diego Comic-Con.



According to the panel's description, series creators Mike DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko will be in attendance, where the pair will "discuss past storylines and tease the future at a panel full of surprises and behind-the-scenes stories

While fans will no doubt wonder if this could include a new television series, it should be noted that the panel is presented by both Nickelodeon and Dark Horse Comics, making it highly likely we'll instead get specifics on upcoming Airbender and Korra comic books. Regardless, here's to hoping the future tease provides some substantial and exciting news for fans of the popular animated shows.



The panel will be held on Friday, July 10 at 10:00am PT.

Nickelodeon announced earlier this week that exclusive Avatar and Korra collectibles will be available at the convention, including a gorgeous print of Avatar Aang and Korra, as well as a 12" figure of Lin Beifong

It was great...alot of underlying themes in this show. Ancestry...how each character in the past represented a virtue and you can tell there is more to come. Also "teased" finding out what happened to Zukko's mom.

This show needs an afternoon slot. I know I'm going to forget to watch it every morning at 11/not be awake
 
Im just now watching i missed the earlier showing. I wonder if zuko and that serious female he was with had a kid also if they say what happened to azula

. Can't wait to see how the story goes. Crazy seeing Katara as an old woman now and finding out that almost everyone died already. Wonder if Toph is still alive. The first series is one of my fav shows ever.

They were pretty good.  I just hope the show doesn't revolve around that stupid game

Agreed. That game was cool for like 3 minutes, and then I hoped that she would move on from the city soon. The preview of the season makes it look like we'll be seeing a lot of that game though.

I'm interested in seeing more of the shady dude with the mask behind the anti-bending movement. I remember that there were a couple people in the last series that could temporarily stop peoples bending so I'm guessing that's how anti-benders will fight.

From what i been hearing is the story will stay in and/or around the city to change it up from the first avatar. And there will be less if any filler episodes as well
 
She is extrememly hot-headed to be a water bender...she has the temperament of a fire bender for sure. They also mention Ange and Katara had more than one kid...can't wait to see them introduce the rest.

I hope they show us more of what happened after the war and give some closure for all the original main characters.
