*UPDATE 6/27/15*.......Legend of Korra OFFICIAL THREAD..........MIGHT BE GETTING A NEW AIRBENDER SER

Her struggles make a great story though. I'm sure she'll as you NTers like to say nowadays, "flourish" eventually.

Man... The girl broke the connection with all the past avatars. One of my favorite parts of this show was the fact that one person had an accessible connection with their past lives. Aang and Roku interactions were always appreciated. This chick comes along and tries to be tougher than she is and messes all of that up. :smh:

Luke going to learn from Yoda in Dagobah

Korra going to learn from Toph in the Swamps

also, Toph is godlevel status. imagine her fighting this season
sick.gif

This new episode though:

It's kind of nice how the Prince thinks of himself and Mako as friends, and genuinely isn't having Mako come with him to be a jerk.

Kuvira growing her military, throwing dissenters into prison camps, "Something you should know about me, I always get what I want", threatening all the other world leader; If Kuvira's not the final villain i'm gonna be pissed.

The Republic City President continues to be an idiot. "She gave me her word she'd step down." Ok bro, let's see how that works out for you. Why couldn't Zaheer have killed him as well?

Toph really hasn't changed a bit lol "go hug a tree" Liking her points about being connected to the world through the roots and vines that run throughout it; makes perfect sense and adds to the wisdom she's gained over the years.

I am really looking forward to a no-holds-barred, throwndown, dragging your knuckles fight between Bolin and Mako. Really do like how they've been placed on opposite sides of this conflict.

Interested to see what Varrick's coming up with. I'd guess some weapon of mass destruction.

"You really are the worst Avatar ever" LMFAO

As the original metal bender it makes sense that Toph's still the best at it.

Can't find it on nick.com :nerd:

Damn toph grumpy
And I swear lil milo be crackin me up
Every scene he is in dude is just too damn much
Man I wanna see dude all grown up
Like how he would be
He kinda reminds me of aang with how playful he is

Kuvira on that Sozin 2.0 tip and theyOENO it. You'd think Zuko would play more of a vital role in this season since he's experienced the ramifications of this kind of militarized philosophy firsthand. How quickly people forget
mean.gif

On the real, Kuvira is just real high strung. Probably ain't ever bent no Black Earth before. I could help her out with that

Everyones just gonna sit back and let her build up the army huh, all three nations and Republic City could handle this right now.

Not really

Throughout watching both these series ive made a few assumptions

1. Even now the air nation is very thin. They went from 1 air bender to a couple dozen in hundreds of years. and they arent a warring people to begin with.

2. The water tribe isnt that thorough either

3. The earth nation is the largest

4. The earth and fire nation are the only one about that action

With all that being said no one is seeing Kuvira right now

She has an elite army. The people on her side. The best and latest technology plus her own Tony Stark making new technology.

The world leaders know what time it is. Thats why they need korra.

You forget that the United Republic of Nations has an entire army/navy. If they all team up Kuvira could get that work easy.

^Agree with the above, plus we really don't know what the Fire Nation's working with at the moment. We've had a solid look at every group but them. Assuming that they kept up their military might from the last series, I see no reason that they couldn't take on Kuvira, especially if you then want to throw the Northern and Southern Water Tribe in as well. At that point adding Republic City just makes it overkill. This is probably why Kuvira has Varrick working on what looks to be a weapon of some kind.

Seeing Toph this episode brought back a lot of nostalgia, man

I think I'm going to chill on this show and wait till all the episodes build up. When it comes to Korra I usually like to binge watch instead of watching the episodes every week

Feels kinda like watching a really long movie watching it this way.

I've been tuning in lately just because I've been interested in the washed up Korra arc. Was kinda curious when she was going to trade the 45 for the 23.

It's seeming like it's going to be a season long arc at this point.

So ...

Toph = best earth bender in the world

Zuko = best fire bender

Tenzin = best air bender

Who is the best water bender

Isn't Tenzin's daughter a better air bender at this point. I think in book 3 she was saying 'I know just as much as you dad, plus I have the better connection to the spirit world' etc

Isn't it obvious who the best water bender is

Katara's obviously the best water bender in either series. Said it a few days ago her feats are extremely astonishing if you go back and look at the original series. Outside of the Avatar no one matches her.

I'm too ADD to watch the original series over again.

I wonder if anyone on YouTube has a highlight mix of everyone 's best feats LOL

Kinda serious

*edit

Watched a bit of some of Toph' s bending mixes on YouTube. Haha haven't seen any earthbending like that the whole Korra series

In fact, is it possible she kicked more *** than Aang?

Azula was a better fire bender than Zuko. She was just bat**** crazy and bent on power. You can't tell me that at their peak in AtLAB Zuko was seeing her skills. It's just not realistic. Their last fight Zuko got the upper hand because Zula was all messed up in the head.

Unless you meant current day and not overall. In which case you can discard all of what I said previously.
