This show is really deep this season. So many subliminal and connections to the Original...only one who they have not linked in Sokka. You see statues of everyone else and mention of everyone else.

The fight sequences on this show are soo dope
. I really wonder who Amon is and how he learned to take a persons bending away permanently. Dope seeing lightning bending again. All round great episode,my fav so far.

I miss the feeling of "adventure" the first one had. I don't get that feeling now that the show is set in one city.

i kinda love/hate how a lot of ppl could do the different bendings such as lightning and metal
it was cool that only toph could do it, but then again i want to see more ppl doing it during fights
the same with azula, speaking of which i hope she had a kid and is as crazy/awesome as her

The og series left so many loose ends untied. Part of me hopes they divulge in a lot of that stuff in this new series. But the other part of me thinks the creators just flat out didn't know where to take those sub-stories, so they left it up to the fans to theorize/fantasize.

haven't seen the newest episode so this question/theory might or not be answered.
for the sake of the question let's assume that bending is a genetic trait that is gained from birth and is there and done. how would borlin and Mako be able to do different bending if their brothers? given that they haven't released mom and dads possible interaccial mix of genes

I was actually wondering that too with aangs kids and such.
Since aang's an avatar and he had kids, his kids only get the actual bending he started out as right?

but his wife was a Water bender so there's a chance of that too. And seeing as Aang had 3 kids: One Air, One Water and One Non Bender... It works out.
Bolin's parents both just had to be benders or be descendants of Fire and Earth Benders. Just ask one of the creators. I know he has a tumblr he frequents

Why did I read this? Now I'm going to be wondering forever.
Good episode though, I'm somewhat of a fan of the whole pro bending thing now. Now that they've started it I wanna see how it plays out.
Hows Borlin going to feel when Korra plays him for Mako? They already started setting it up. I wasn't really a fan of the whole Aang and Katara love story but it seems like it went over well with the fans so we'll be seeing that again
