:smh: man... this season sucks
i'll only watch now for the other good characters... i really hope Zhu Li gets back "together" with Varrick :wow:

Even MJ needed a summer to work his rust off after returning

Korra is no MJ

Not enough time for Tim Grover to do work. Korra can't rely on her high flying dunks anymore aka the avatar state . She needs to work on her fade away aka air bending.

Seeing Kuvira's Great Uniter character, it would be dope if there was an Avatar series that totally flipped the script and had an Avatar Emperor antagonist.Imagaine an Avatar that sought out balance in the world by straight up conquering it, and just have four kids, each a different bending element, get into shenanigans that ultimately takes down the Avatar. Make the main protagonist the grandchild of the last Avatar. 4 Seasons and a movie!!!

Honestly it's kinda hard to believe that not one Avatar has been corrupted by the power yet.

Also I feel like any of the benders from the Red Lotus would give Kuvira a fight.

I figure what with the whole connection to past lives, it kinda sets anyone back on the Avatar track.

An Avatar going rogue would really work if they lost their connection to the past like Korra.

To be fair, Kuvira ain't that ill.
She's great and all until she takes an air hadouken.

She was getting blown around like a rag doll.

I don't know what's so hard about making an earth wall shield against wind.

She got caught in midair and then got rushed as soon as she landed. Before that she was dodging them with ease.

Korra stay getting owned. She makes the Avatar look like some second rate chump.

I understand she's recuperating and all... But c'mon.

Also, love that this season has prominently featured Varick so far. He's easily one of the best characters from either Avatar shows.

Do you guys think they will revamp the Avatar series after Korra?

TLAB was such a good series. Seems such a shame to go out on such a low note.

Based on Nickelodeon and their lack of support for the show, I doubt we get another series after this one.

I dont think Korra is a low note. I've enjoyed all of it, but yeah I doubt theres gonna be another Avatar series after this sadly. This show has the tools to be one of the GOATS too. Nick is tripping

I don't think it's ending on a low note at all
I think it will be regarded as one of the goats after its done
People will catch on to it when it hits netflix
I don't think the creators will make another avatar series though
They've kinda took it everywhere it needs to go
Kind of touched on all the content that could come out the series
Damn thinking about it
It is ending on a low note
This show is too damn :pimp:

I hoped they'd go back in time and revisit one of the earlier Avatars. There goes that. :frown:

When I say low note, I'm speaking in terms of comparing the last airbender to the legend of Korra. I don't think anyone can disagree on which series was better.

Aang's story was more genuine. I understood the battle within him during his fight with the fire lord. That struggle to remain steadfast in his belief of not killing. Korra's struggle, I still don't get. She just gets washed time and time again, only to have something clutch go down in her favor.

Korra gets washed a lot because she just isn't as talented as Aang. I believe some avatars are weaker and stronger than others.

I agree with a post earlier in this thread that the major trump card for the avatar is the avatar state. Aang was a genius Airbender that looked great in most fights just off of his bending alone. I don't think Korra is by any means a genius bender and it shows. In this series, elite level benders have washed Korra on numerous occasions. Aang got worked sometimes but his genius level air bending made the fights he was getting them hands look like draws. Styles make fights but korra has been captured and humiliated more than Aang.

Korra's struggles have made me appreciate Aang that much more and the fact that he was basically already a bending master at 12. Korra's yet to face off against someone with comparable powers to Fire Lord Ozai during the eclipse and Aang basically washed him.

I feel like they've made it pretty obvious that Zhu Li's still loyal to Varrick and that she's most likely a double agent for him,at least it seems as though that's what they've been hinting at.

Man it's been so long since I've seen TLAB but

1- I think Korra has been through more and

2- Aang went into the avatar state a lot more often. Korra really doesn't use it that much, even before the metal poisoning. In terms of bending skill without the avatar state I don't remember Aang to be that superior

Aang was a beast outside of the avatar state. If he were willing to kill Ozai he could've won the fight against Ozai without the avatar state at about the 3:04 mark in that fight. That fight showed us just how much of a beast Aang was.

My man Aang just couldn't do it though

I'd love if they jumped back and gave us a series about avatar Roku or even a series about the 100 years that aang was missing

Roku was a dope Avatar from what we saw. I'd like to see his story more indepth. Especially his departure from the Fire Nation and his journey to becoming a fully actualized Avatar. The practices, the trips to the Spirit World. The quelling of the Fire Lord's plan for domination. Man... That would be dope to see. :pimp:
