DREAM TRICK - Looking at yourself in the mirror

like im suppose to see the devil and wake up to sleep paralysis crazy orr

Heard about this. They say the scary part is actually waking up!

Lucid dreamers, when they look into the mirror, to them they see "somebody else" but it's actually them. They become another person, or in essence living another life for a brief moment (in reality) but in the dream it's a lifetime.

Therefore, they begin to believe that is who they are... So when they wake up and actually look in the mirror, they expect to see the person they were in a dream. But now in the reality, they are somebody else.

if you can control it then wouldn't you know what will be shown in the mirror?

This thread just creeped the %+#! outta me. I already cant sleep

I did this once. I don't know if I was controlling it or not though, but in the dream I did look at myself in the mirror. The setting was creepy, I was in an older 2-story house and it was all dark. The place looked abandoned and slightly run down (like in those horror movies). I remember walking to the bathroom in my dream and looking in the mirror. I saw myself. I looked away and looked back into the mirror and I noticed my front teeth were missing! I was creeped out! Then as I stared at myself the gap in my teeth began to come together (with my two teeth still missing). I began to get even more freaked out, and I tried to change my expression in the mirror. But no matter what I did my reflection never changed. I'd turn my head, try to do a bunch of random expressions to see the reflection change but it wouldn't. It just stayed there looking straight at me, as if there was someone else on the other side that looked just like me. I got so freaked out, I woke up right after and immediately walked to a mirror to look at myself to make sure I wasn't still dreaming.

I know this is a really random dream(aren't all dreams random), but this is one of the strangest/weirdest/creepiest dreams I've had. The whole mood/setting of the dream was just eerie. I know that dreams can be interpreted in a bunch of ways, so I gave up/don't want to look for a hidden meaning in it.  This happened in late 2011.

Not necessarily. You can't control EVERYTHING in a dream!

Just like in life... They say you are in control of your life, but you can't control the outcome of things. You can't control your surroundings!

not true always. different things happen in different dreams. i've "seen" myself in a bunch of dreams. sometimes i look as i am now, sometimes i'm my hgh school self, sometimes my teeth are falling out, and sometimes i look slightly different like someone else. the not being able to change my facial expression thing has happened before though.

i also seem to be entirely incapable of running fast or riding a bike fast in my dreams.

I usually always dream about my past...

Off topic but I act the exact same in NY dreams, as in risks I wouldn't normally take in real life I don't take in a dream and I sometimes wake up angry at my dream self for not trying something . Sometimes those joints feel 100% real... it's crazy.

I heard somewhere that you supposedly can't read in your dreams but that's not true because I can read in mine.

As far as this mirror thing goes, I wouldn't be surprised if something trippy happened because people always turn into other people in my dream, and I'm always expecting it. I honestly think it's linked to adhd because I get the exact same sensation when I suddenly forget about something that I was just thinking about. Dreams are such a mystery.

Damn I'm trippin out now. Bout to knock out and see if I can try this is my dream. Lookin forward to more stories y'all got tho.

I've always wanted to be able to lucid dream.. I'm not patient enough to lay in bed for a long time when I can be sleeping though. 

This sounds really creepy too.. anyone have tips for someone trynna lucid dream for the first time?

Man... every dream I'm able to remember and control, I'm never around a mirror or never think to look. I might try if the dream opportunity comes up.

Not a fan of going through crazy things in a dream though, last night I had a drowning dream.

That is the worst, I haven't had that in a awhile thank goodness...

Fam in all seriousness this thread has succeeded to creep me out, the secon I read OPs post, I pictured myself in some dark room starring into a mirror and afraid of what's starring back at me..

Lucid Dreams aren't exactly controlling your dreams, its just being aware that you are dreaming but you go through it knowing the situatiosn.

Someone was reading the dream thread on 4chan last night lol.

My man!!!! I had what seemed like a 3hr zombie nightmare last night. it was willlllldd 

nah I have the zombie dreams on regular nights and I usually wake up @ 3am with nothing going on outside or in my house. I be tripping afterwards. I hate zombie dreams...

Its actually kinda cool now that I know what it is when it happens. I just kinda ride it out and sometimes you can hear some really weird *$%!

this reminds of one of the most wildest dreams i have ever had.
I dont remember much of it but i remember it was of Lawrence Fishbourne and a 10 year old african american girl (im mexican american..). The girl is crying and saying something i couldnt understand.
Then fishbourne ask where's it at and they both look in the mirror . What i saw literally made jump when i woke up of all a sudden. It was my grandma's head, who past away two weeks later , with no eyeballs on the bottom right of the mirror. swear that %%%@ had me shook for a few days.
