I was born a lucid dreamer and thought everyone else could do it at first, I actually have looked in the mirror during one of my dreams before and it was more unsettling than cool.

one more, my hair is thinning on the top of my hair, and recently i had a dream where i looked in the mirror and all of my hair kept falling out until i had a strange hairline and spots of hair scattered along my head.

i've talked to people who had similar kinds of dreams, maybe because we are vain in certain aspect or whatever. this is just one example though, yunno? creepy stuff.

My mom always says that this means death.

And I will try to give this a try.
I've heard that the teeth falling out means that you're holding in lies about something...

From what i heard from other ppl teeth falling out means death

This.
So non lucid dreamers don't know that they're dreaming? Sounds creepy as *!##.

I'll try this mirror thing tonight but most of my dreams revolve around the football field or ex's so it might be hard, but I'll def try.

I had this type of dream before, but I wasn't lucid dreaming.
In my dream, I was lying face down and some girl with long black hair (similar to the chick from the ring) was massaging my calves.
So I look behind me to get a better look, and then all I see is a mirror.
I angle myself upwards to get a better look of the mirror.
Then I see a White man with red eyes, long curly blonde/red hair, and pointy sharp teeth staring at me bug-eyed and laughing hysterically.
I instantly woke the @@%% up, and then I was in sleep paralysis.
I couldn't even go to school that day because I was so shook

The place looked abandoned and slightly run down (like in those horror movies). I remember walking to the bathroom in my dream and looking in the mirror. I saw myself. I looked away and looked back into the mirror and I noticed my front teeth were missing! I was creeped out! Then as I stared at myself the gap in my teeth began to come together (with my two teeth still missing). I began to get even more freaked out, and I tried to change my expression in the mirror. But no matter what I did my reflection never changed. I'd turn my head, try to do a bunch of random expressions to see the reflection change but it wouldn't. It just stayed there looking straight at me, as if there was someone else on the other side that looked just like me. I got so freaked out, I woke up right after and immediately walked to a mirror to look at myself to make sure I wasn't still dreaming.

I know this is a really random dream(aren't all dreams random), but this is one of the strangest/weirdest/creepiest dreams I've had. The whole mood/setting of the dream was just eerie. I know that dreams can be interpreted in a bunch of ways, so I gave up/don't want to look for a hidden meaning in it.  This happened in late 2011.
I had a dream just this past week where I was brushing my teeth and one of my bottom teeth chipped or broke off. In the dream, my dental coverage lapsed and I didn't have coverage so in my mind, I was like, this is just a dream, let me go to sleep and wake up. Then in reality, I woke up and checked my mouth. Off topic, but I just thought about that. Back on topic, in that dream I was looking into the mirror, and I think I saw myself, can't be too sure, because I was focusing on my teeth. But I am freaking myself out thinking if the person in the mirror was really me or not.

But this can explain why in some of my dreams, I sometimes see myself in the third person.

Also, has anyone ever had a dream where there is a person in it that you are supposed to know - family member or friend, etc. - but their face is of someone you absolutely do not know, or of someone else? Sometimes, I wonder if I have seen that person before or if that person really exists.

Lucid dreamers, when they look into the mirror, to them they see "somebody else" but it's actually them. They become another person, or in essence living another life for a brief moment (in reality) but in the dream it's a lifetime.

Therefore, they begin to believe that is who they are... So when they wake up and actually look in the mirror, they expect to see the person they were in a dream. But now in the reality, they are somebody else.

It ain't so cool when you wake up staring at a ghost floating above your body

But thinking back on it, it's a cool story to have but damn it was terrifying in the moment.
Yea ive had this. I have had dark figures hovering straight above me, laying next to me talking to me, and once there was one standing in the doorway. I actually very slow broke out of the sleep paralysis, used all my strength to crawl out of the room. Once I got out of the room a whole new dream started and I was completely lucid. I dont really get sleep paralysis anymore, it was mostly highschool when I got home to take a nap. But now I lucid dream a ton.

I hate it...

almost everytime it happens I get involved in a dream where I must fight or defend myself. Then in the dream I have the feeling of my real arms and I feel like I can't swing fast enough and cant put my arms up to defend myself. :smh

dreams about your teeth reflect your anxieties about your appearance and how others perceive you. Your teeth help to convey an image of attractiveness and play an important role in the game of flirtation, whether it is flashing those pearly white, kissing or necking. Thus, such dreams may stem from a fear of rejection, sexual impotence or the consequences of getting old.

I have been trying to achieve being a full on lucid dreamer for a long time now but still can only do it sometimes. I have never thought to look in a mirror tho, I'm usually trying to get my perv on or fly and stuff haha..

on of the craziest dream i had was, i felt like was getting sucked down a dark hole n while that was happening something was pushing on my chest. I tried fighting it off to see what it was in reality and also I tried to open my eyes but there wide shut like someone had their hands over them. i was still in my dream falling, then i some how over powered it n just jumped out my bed. I saw blue stars going out the window and i heard bunch of kids giggling running away in the backyard and it was around 3AM. Scared the living @#$% out of me. drove to work and waited for my shift to start.

If anyone could tell what happen i would love to know cause its been in the back of my head for a while now, maybe i might not have kids in the future? or maybe my future gf/wife might have a miscarriage?

Wow.. I am going to try this.
I don't really talk about it much, and I never really spoke about it to anyone close to me, but I am a lucid dreamer. I always thought I was weird

And just like someone said, you don't exactly control your dream, you are just well aware that you are dreaming and everything around you isn't exactly real.  You interact with people who you may have never met in real life but you remember faces, you feel, taste, and smell. Its actually quite amazing.

The only part that comes in where it feels like complete control is when you can continue your dreams multiple nights in a row. At least for me I know I have had continuations of dreams throughout multiple nights. I've had dreams where I would fall asleep in my dream and actually dream while dreaming. (Yeah some real exhzibit type #@!%, I know)

The thing that scares the $+%+ out of me in the morning is, I'll have these dreams and wake up but my sheets will be folded over as if someone pulled the covers from over me.

I'm talking perfect fold, not just some random #@!% like I kicked my covers off. I have been terrified of this experience since I was younger. I have no idea what the hell it is.

I suffer from anxiety and panic as well, and at times growing up and up until most recently, some of these dreams would cause me to wake up panicking in the early morning.

Hell we should turn this into a dream interpretation thread. I keep having a reoccurring dream every few months and I don't understand it.
