SoCal Food/Grub Thread

I'm super biased but for ceviche I love el paisa in lynwood .
All around - el taco loco in long beach (menu is huge all made in house )

Lot of good hotpot and shabu shabu areas?
There's boiling point for individual hot pot which I personally like a lot. There's also Ah Lien and Little Sheep for regular style hot pot where you order plates and cook it yourself. Then there's shabu shabu at places such as SWSH, Mokkoji, and Miyabi. I personally don't like shabu shabu because you pay up to like 20 dollars per person but the amount of food you get is a lot less.

All the shabu shabu places I listed are good on yelp, but they just seem real expensive for what you get. Boiling point is my favorite out of all of them though! The wait is terrible though.

I have to agree with the shabu shabu comments. I went to go eat it for the first time and was not really impressed. I put allt he garlic and onion and chili sauce in my pot but it didn't have very much flavor. For me + 1 my total was $64

Got to San Diego last night....hit del taco...yucky....I'm going to try slaters and few other places you guys posted

Wheels down in SD myself! Gotta hit up somethin near gaslamp district downtown for food! ASAP only had an egg white mcmuffin in chi airport.

I tried the skaters 50/50 here and all I have to say is damn!!!

Also went by in and out burger just to taste.....good quick fast bite....trying more places tonight

La Puerta's was very good. Great happy hour too. Gonna hit up some whale watching, mission bay diner and slater's 50/50 after some park/beach action! You guys got any sneaker spots I can hit up?!

I don't think grown men should be using the word "yucky".

I don't think other grownmen should be worried about how another grown man talks........

But that's none of my buisness

haven't heard anyone say "yucky" in 2014 unless they were still in elementary...

but i won't "nitpick"... carry on gentlemen.

Brodard customer service is WACK, after they get their orders the waiters are gone after that. ALmost got in a big fight last time i was there. gave 0 tip

@freshKRN  I personally don't like brodards because their food is so expensive and the portion you get is tiny. Their spring rolls are alright, but the food is mediocre. Another one of those spots where I end up paying $20-$30 and still leave hungry.
