Thanks so much for this thread. Free education like this has the ability to change people's lives. If we can just maintain the discipline..

Was wondering this as well.

Don't see how this topic could result in warnings/suspension.

I didn't see the reply that merited a suspension but he tried to call me out for redundancy. I told him that wasn't the case at all and then reiterated why I created this thread. If I had to guess, I was warned because my tone wasn't charitable. Do I agree with that? No and I don't understand how I explicitly broke the rules. But I don't care. I will continue to be a curmudgeon to those who don't read my posts and then proceed to call me out.
To be fair, you asked the guy, "are you dense?"

Seems like a clear insult to me. It wasn't necessary and it only served to escalate the situation. You could've made your point without including a personal attack. He followed suit and wound up suspended.

I miss basic comp sci. I pray for you the day you learn about binary search trees linked lists and recursion.

Fixed smiley: laugh30t6p3b.  Basic, singly linked lists are fine, but when you have to start keeping track of multiple singly or doubly linked lists that point to each other ++%@ gets real messy smiley: sick.  Then you have recursion, which never made sense to me, and I had projects based around using it 30t6p3b...

Linked lists was the easiest thing in the world for me once I got my first one running. Doubly linked lists that point to other linked lists are terrible though. I HATED HASHING BUCKETS! SO F-ing BAD! I never even finished that assignment in Data Structures, smiley: roll.

Sidenote: To anyone who signed up for computer science, if you ever have issues with an assignment hit my PM. I'm a Computer Science major, and while I certainly won't give you the answers flatout, I'm more than willing to help guide you through some of the concepts and what not.

PSA: If you are still using IE and registered for a Computer Science course, you should probably go ahead and unregister yourself.
