Black guy hair cuts

^^ I don't mean to laugh bruh but  Some barbers be on some of everything. Dudes are true jacks of all trades, masters of none. Tree man turned plumber turned preacher turned gemologist. Never know with them guys lol

Question tho. I'm rocking a boosie fade right now. Been meaning to start my south of france for forever no florida. Top has grown a lot, should I go even all over or leave the top alone & let the back catch up for a south of france?

I got a part once and that patch of hair hasn't grown the same since.

Got it on my right btw^^

Seems like most people get it on their left though

"In my younger days I used to sport a SHAAAAAAAAG"
That cut is GROCE.

Again, like @PRIME said, dudes need to stop squeezing their brains out with the durags, waking up with headaches and ****. I don't have no lines across my forehead, sides, or in the back. Lay the strings flat & tie it loose. It aint hard.
Man what? When I started as a kid all i needed was a lil water on my brush. Brush for a matter of minutes right after the shower & the waves came. Didn't touch it again until I took another shower.

My pops aint know **** about waves or pomade or even durags, when he finally cut his flat top off in the '00s and brushed for a lil bit he had waves all over his head.

I only started putting shea butter in it cause my **** was looking too dry & was too hard, but the waves were already there.

For some people it is natural and othes have to work hard at it. It depends on your grade of hair and texture. My son is like that, he gets them naturally all over with just a few brush strokes. After a cut [dark ceasar with a taper] they really show. I like to see those more than the ones posted in here, the other ones just look too :x to me. Doesn't look good at all, and you could see the grease and pomade :smh:.

This is what I don't understand, and I keep thinking about that Mobb Deep line "pushing ****** wigs back like a grimey *** barber". I have absolutely no training in cutting, but if I had to do a line up for boy or my son I know how it should look and how to follow their natural hairline. I don't get how a barber who has been trained can **** up a dudes hairline. I know everyone isn't the nicest, but that should be basic. That is why I really feel they are being grimey. For black guys going to a new barber it is the scariest thing. I remember I got a shape up a week after a cut, I was out of town and wanted to look fresh. After one week there is barely any new growth, and the guy still zeked me. I had to wear my durag the entire time :smh:

When yall get a part what side do yall get it on?

Used to be the left side, but now you can do whatever the hell you want. I've seen guys who get half moon parts on the right side and still looks good. Just make sure the barber is talented, surprisingly enough there are dudes who can **** up a part :smh:

Man i drive half ah hour just tah get ah edge its real out here 4 ah pimp lol.

Man, when you find someone who does a good job it is worth it to make that trip. F a local cut B, stay fresh.

 Every dude had to face this at some point I'm sure. The one day your barber is off and you need a cut bad, the other dude cuts you and does a much better job because yours got comfortable. NOw you have a choice to make :smh:. Good luck, it will be awkard at first but the satisfaction you knowing your cut is point makes up for that :smokin

I have been rocking the Barack Obama x Denzel Washington "almost but not really" shape up with light waves and a clean face.

I'm done with the razor sharp shape up.

Examples...

Idk how dudes be getting pushed back & they still get a shape up every week and wonder why they look like lebron

The worst feeling is when you know he pushing you back because he keeps going over the same spot :smh: then you see the light skin part of your forehead

What are you guys using to help your hair grow faster?
also for any bros w mustaches samequestion. my mustache thick but I want to be able to comb it w a pick ( really )

Barbers push your hairline back because they *think* they're making it perfect, completely ignoring the fact that most people's hair does not grow evenly length-wise along their hairline. That's where the push back comes in.

Also, I've noticed barbers are more likely to push my hairline back if they shape it up after they cut my hair down. If I go to the shop after 2-3 weeks of growth and ask for just a line up it they never push it back. Ask em for to take it down, 50/50 chance of pushback.

Believe me, those ARE Razor Sharp Edge Ups, but the Barber just kept their Lines TRUE & Natural.

Obama's corners are thinner and Denzel has the Salt & Pepper which kind of dilutes the crisp super crisp look from jump.

These are just examples of Excellent TRUE Line-Ups where instead of the Barber pushing back to a crisp line, the Barber maintained where the Natural Line resides and didn't try to create that Super Crisp Look.

The Dopest way to do it, IMO.
