Black guy hair cuts

^^ A lot would be tempted to. But the potential probably :wow:

Our buying power will reach almost $1 trillion next year I believe. I think we underestimate the market that we do have.

Shea moisture recently sold a minority stake to Bain capital & they are almost valued at a billion

Nah. I believe it was a good call. From the reviews I've heard and read, it's a really good product for black men and there's no viable alternative out there to my knowledge. With time, more and more men will utilize the bevel razors. It's fathomable that it could be a staple in the black community, since we deal with razor bumps and what not.

If its really that good, I'll try it one day.

Not going to lie tho... For the price, I'm scared to try and it fail me.

I don't do razors, like on the right side my hair actually grows out in a swirl pattern so it's hard to go with the grain, but I may check it out.

I would have taken the $500mil

Straight up.
Yea, I probably would too.

And then I'd take some of that money and Bet On Myself Again and Create ANOTHER Brand/Product.

And keep Flippin from there...

ive been contemplating trying Bevel... im 30 and never shaved a day in my life cuz i cant grow a beard and I have always gone to a barber frequently.

but since ive been growing my hair out lately i have been keeping stubble on my cheeks... figure Bevel could take care of that and the products seems straight. I like their site some im thinking bout showing love.

I want to cop even though I know my cheap *** is gonna cancel that membership as soon as the kit gets here.

I want a closer shave than my outliners are giving me.

Upon further review of the Bevel system, I'm really happy to see a young brother doing it big like this. I'm thinking of ordering just to support, and then cancelling the membership. For what it is, its a pretty steep price they are charging for the starter kit and $30 a month additionally is way to steep to consider making this my full time shaving solution. You can buy a safety razor, brush, bunch of blades and enough cream and post shave lotion to last you a year for the same price as 2-3 months of the Bevel system and get the same results. While the Bevel system looks like a premium product and the presentation and website are fantastic, I think the price they are charging will turn off most young consumers, including myself.

Anyone here know if Pro-mate blades are better than the stock ones that come with a t-outliner? I am looking to replace mine and the stock ones from Andis are $10-15, and the Pro-mate ones are $25. I mostly use the trimmer for dry shaving and quick lineups

Promates are adjusted for the closest, safest shave you can get with undisciplined hands, which isn't very close so I say nah. Probably spend the 25 for modified andis blades, or oem blades plus the blade setter. I like this dude's stuff:

it is SHARP though b.

How much do you guys pay each time you hit up the barber?

My spot is $20 and I usually tip 3-5 bills for a cut/lineup/beard trim.

I'd love to be at the barber more often and I've found some cheaper spots, but for a few dollars I'd rather stick with what I got.

My barber charges $10 he's a good dude not really in it for the money & its a 3rd job so it works.

Always throw him $15-18 anyway. My backup barber now charges $30 for a cut & shave :smh:

I've got quite a bit of length on my high top now, but I wish I had started growing it all around now that I want the South of France Mohawk.

That's right around my length atop right now.

And maybe throw in a design at the base of the neck

$20 for anything. Shape up with a taper is 15. Cut is 18.

Cut has been $15 since I was a kid. Prices in the shop have changed but he's never charged me more than that.

I pay $20 to show love with the extra $5 tip

These dudes at the shop i go to raised their prices to $25 by the crib, not even with the face smh.

I just started going to my barber but I get the old rate @ $15. I always have $20 for him.

Had to get a cut yesterday, but he wasn't there. Thinking of breaking my routine and going next week for a shape up and throw him $25.

Raised to $25 from what though?...

My Barber just went up to $20 on me after about 7-8 years at $15... my Tip is just a dollar or two, unless he comes w/ that heat!

Tips for Cuts was more of a thing that was Necessary back in the day, Pre-1990's or so, bc Haircuts were SO Cheap. But now these dudes are branding themselves and FEELING themselves, so the prices are going up like Crazy... and the rest are boosting their prices just taking advantage of the trend.

I use to just give them $20 for everything and called it a day. I think for them though managment increased the booth rent so they had to adjust. I can tell because only like half the barbers still work at the shop and all of them be trying to sell stuff on the side in the shop which i never saw them do before.

Either way i aint down for $25 so i gotta find a new shop.
