I can times that price by 2,3,4 but you also need to factor in the days its sitting on your hand. Cause not many will be able to unload it all in 1 day... Plus you are one of the few. 95% of resellers get 1 or 2 pairs the most. For every 20 ads I see on CL during release dates. I only see 1 ad posting more than 3 pairs.

FNL always has those phantom restocks.. never once have i gotten a restock from them.. at least they came through w/ my initial cavs orders

  
 
It was actually in my cart, but I mis-entered my credit card info and blew it. I feel better about it thinking of it as a phantom restock, thanks.

i agree with this to a point.  "selling" and "reselling" are two different things.  of course someone would charge more than they paid for an older or original shoe because they are becoming more and more scarce with each passing year resulting in a higher price(depending on condition).  its completely different than what is happening now which is: people buying up the stock IMMEDIATELY BEFORE the people who actually want them are able to get them.  then turning around and trying to sell them to these people(at double the price) like "hey, if you wanted them for what i paid you should have tried harder than me..."

Some of you are just bitter. I'm 31, been here since 2001. Numerous screennames. I work Full-Time, got 7 pairs total and did about 5 minutes of work via e-mail for 5 of them through a friend in the south. I got 2 pairs waking up an hr earlier than usual to get on FNL. You can factor all you want into calling it "minimum wage" but I sold most my shoes for more than double what I paid...in less than a hr. I'll take that "minimum wage" everyday of my life.
You assume we are resellers but in reality...we are just smart men. Why wouldn't I secure more than one pair if I know what the market will pay? I come from the school of 1-2 hour campouts for SBs and signature forces, same day Jordan pickups...Camping for 1 day to months is for the sheep who have no reason to live because they can't compute time vs money.

I thought it was common practice to buy 2 pairs so essentially someone else is paying for your collection.

You know what...  At this point, you would be far stretched to find someone on this site who has NEVER resold a pair of kicks..  I know for sure if I reach a rough spot and need some money, kicks will be the first to go.  What irks me is the cats who just sit outside for weeks... Creating unjustified hype and hysteria, then posting them up for absurd prices, when there are people who just want the shoes to wear. 

It makes it that much harder to cop nowadays because of this "hustle"..  It's all good though, like someone said earlier, you adapt..  Shoes are a luxury, not a necessity.

You strike out, oh well, on to the next ones that will drop the very next week.
 
They're alot better looking in person for sure.....happy i copped a pair, finishline store in pembroke pines only had 12 pairs in total and had to settle for the last 10.5
 
Frustration is at an all time HIGH. Knew Id miss that FNL restock if there ever was gonna be one. Sad part is someone probably copped just to flip them on ebay. I WANT A PAIR TO ROCK.

of course they are, they, along with all the other retailers are the "middlemen" who fill a niche by making Nikes products more accessible to consumers.  resellers on the other hand are essentially creating an unnecessary market by adding in a second middleman to the process.  but it is what it is, at the end of the day i know i can live without jordan and/or nike products.  its sad that in the heat of the moment, not many others can say the same.

PRETTY MUCH.

THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RESELLING AND SELLING. IF YOU SELL FOR A PROFIT, THEN YOU ARE  RESELLING. WHETHER THE SHOE RELEASED YESTERDAY OR 20 YEARS AGO DOESN'T REALLY MATTER.
