New Orleans Hornets @ PHX SUNS Saturday

At Phoenix, second game of a back-to-back, no David West, trailing pretty significantly for a majority of the game and still pull out the victory.

I'm proud of my Hornets. Couldn't catch this game because me and the bf were out but I come back and get this surprise. No DWest and I see the bench FINALLY stepped up and got some decent points out of Pargo. I guess Byron Scott's message to his bench got through. The bigger surprise is that Mo-Pete finally got out of his horrid shooting slump. CP3 for MVP...now I can't wait for the Lakers matchup. Anyone have any info on Peterson's status after his West-like fall??? Great win for the Hornets, it's even better it's against the Suns.

Mo Pete continue to play in the game, even had a BIG three point play to close out the game after the fall.....

I hate having barbosa out late in the 4th.. They gave amare no touches... great win by new orleans chris paul is amazing!

The point guard comparison:

Nash - 23 points, 3 rebounds, 11 assists (4 turnovers)
Paul - 28 points, 5 rebounds, 10 assists (1 turnover), 3 steals

And as already mentioned, Paul vastly outplayed Nash in the fourth quarter.

Hornets Season Thread
Even still I don't understand where they came from...upping something from the beginning of this season doesnt mean %%+$ to me. I've beenaround NT since its inception...and I don't recall this influx of Hornets fans. I don't understand how people pick and choose what teams they root for.I believe you should have some sort of affiliation with that team some how. Seems like to me 85% of yall became Hornets fans on June 28, 2005.

this might comfort my anger of the celtics winning today for just a bit. i gotta catch the replay on nba league pass broadband...

2005-present. Started as just a Chris Paul fan and then became a full Hornets fan quarter way through the 2005-2006 season.
Chris Paul fan since 04 btw.

I personally became a Hornets fan on July 19, 2004.

Really though, what's it to you?

Who said it was anything to me? I just made an observation.

Same here

If CP keeps playing like he has been, he should get some serious MVP talk. Easily the best point in the game- having a wack team looking like they might win50-55 games.

Your point is not really valid though, cause it wasn't like the Hornets were winning since June 28th, 2005....They haven't made the playoffssince 2004 when Magloire was averaging career best in Pts and Rebs...So even if you was just gettin at the "CP3 fans"---the fairweather CP3 fan stillhad to suffer for two straight non-playoff seasons..Plus since you been on NT since the inception, you would kno that NOBODY gave the Hornets respect beforethe season started..90% of mock lists had the Hornets as a 15th-20th rank team wit them NOT making the playoffs. So you have to respect the fact that therewere fans even before the season started when nobody thought the Hornets was a playoff-caliber team.....The crazy part is that you only sayin this due to theearly season success of the Hornets, cause if the record was 11-23 you probably couldn't careless about how many fans the Hornets have kinda like lastyear, but since the Hornets are winning now its 85% of us are fairweather....

Pathetic that we can't beat the Hornets.
Letting Predrag Stojackitup score 23 points is even more pathetic.
