[::Official ~Indiana Pacers @ Los Angeles Lakers~ SUNDAY (1/6) 6:30pm PT::]

Nice win but we have some problems. Our second unit was horrible tonight. We have a very tough back to back with memphis who we always have problems with andthe next night we have CP3 and the hornets. I hope we can do well on this back to back.

Bynum with 23 and 14?

This kid is a man playing among boys.

No, I'm not already thinking about the offseason with this next statement, but I'm saying... if this dude improves as much in Summer '08 as he didin Summer '07, Kobe would be stupid to walk away. Because a prolific scorer + a prolific post presence has ALWAYS proven to be a serious problem in thisleague, even if it's just those two by themselves and a bunch of scrubs fillinf up the rest of the roster. But this ISN'T a roster full of scrubs; wehave a prolific scorer, a prolific post presence, AND a roster full of young, hungry 'basketball smart' types.

And Lamar, Kwame, Vlad-Rad, and Sasha.

I am worried. I hope bynum doesn't get a big head and he keeps working on his game in the summer. But lamar, kwame and vlad rad better be in the gymthis summer. Sasha won't stay...he can't!

Really though, Bynum is reminding me of a young Shaq(pushing it I know, but still)
If we can re-sign Kwame for cheap, and add another defese minded PF, we can contend next year for a title

It seems like out third quarters this year are way better than those of last year. Is it me or are the Lakers fast breaking almost every possession?

If I were Lakers F.O, Kwame Brown would actually have to pay US inorder to remain a Laker.

Boring game. I knew Lakers would win without busting a sweat. Can't wait for the New Orlean Game

That's what's up, man. That's how we're the third best scoring team in the league, at 107.03, behind G.S. (#1, with 109.30) and PHX (#2, with108.08).

And to add to that, we're the 9th best defensive team, keeping our opponents to an average of 101.58 points.

Factoring those two together, we've got that 9th best differential in the league, at 5.45, meaning that we are averaging 5 more points a game than ouropponents; 3rd is S.A. @ 6.58, 2nd is DET @ 10.29, and 1st is BOS @ 12.96, meaning that they're beating their opponents by an average of nearly 13 a game

).

But still, our average points per game (107.03) + average opponent's points per game (101.58) is pretty damn nice for me.

Thanks again!

A couple notes:

-Kobe needs to try attacking the rim in the beginning of the games, to get some sort of rythm when he tries his jumpshots. Most of his shots are flat, maybenot enough lift or knees are involved in his shooting.

-the 2nd unit needs a better initiator than j.farmar - my suggestion let Luke come off the bench and start ariza.

-jcritt dribbles too much, leaves his feet too much - then gets caught in an awkward position.

-kwame showed GREAT footwork, although he did get called for a couple travels & mishandled a ball, it looks like his knee is feeling better, and that'sa good sign - did a good job on Jermaine O'neal.

-d.fish is d.fish he gets the job done either way.

-abomb great game all around, I'm just confused why bynum doesn't get as many touches in the 2nd half as he does in the 1st. He should easily get30-34pnts if they fed him the ball consistently (I'm not really a points guy, would love to see him get 20boards, 5blks than points).

-please leave sasha and radman on the bench, but at this point when sasha comes back healthy - he should get his minutes back.

-coby karl, I am convinced he looks like clay aiken (I'd post pics but sidekickss are gay) - sorry to say he really has no spot on this team, would rathersee him develop in the dleague or overseas.

-lamar odom good all around game, very quietly had a dubxdub.

Lakers made this game (at certain moments of the game) closer than it should have been. The second unit is losing its consistency. We need to add the pf/cbanger (pj brown, danny fortson, kurt thomas, malik rose - just some random names). Anyone to help us down the road.

Sounds alot like Sasha, BUT.....in the two games hes played instead of Sasha, Lakers have won convincingly.....hmmm....lol

Bynum easily is the most valuable player on the lakers. he's beenmore consistent than Kobe so far this season. Keep this up, Kobe's ballhoggin%@@+ will be ran outta town, as Bynum Gets all the spotlight, as he should. The Lakers go as far as he does. When he struggles, the Lakers struggle. The Lakers are 17-4 When Bynum scores in double figures. Nuff said.

No, that's not "nuff said," because there's something else that needs to be said in order for your subjective argument to betaken as an objective response worth... anything. What more needs to be said?

The Lakers record when Kobe is in double figures.

And the Lakers record when Bynum is not in double figures and Kobe is the leading scorer (meaning that Kobe is carrying the load as the leading scorer; how dothe Lakers do when that happens?)

I mean, I'd only look those things up if I actually cared about people valuing my opinion. Clearly you don't care about that, so I don't expect youto look any of that up, much less post it.

Great win and playing time for the bench, they needed it. Got to watch it in person...I like the Laker girls in those patent white shorts

i dont think Bynum can get 30 a game consistently even if the lakers force feed him as he has zero post moves

You got every point right on. Mitch is going to have to make something happen to get another banger for that second unit. We all love ronnie but we have tokeep it real he can't keep up with most pf or small centers in the leauge. A move must be made. The second unit is slipping but they had big number whenrad was on. I hope he gets his stroke back soon. THe point of the secound unit was to have farmar drive and kick to the open man. Without vlad or the machineout there shooting they just get stuck. I liked seeing kwame out there trying and doing pretty well. This roster is good but unless a couple of small moves aremade this team is out in the second round.
