Gangster Squad (2012) Trailer - Josh Brolin,Ryan Gosling,Sean Penn

Movie was trash. I have no idea how a film with such a great cast could be so corny and awful. Will be skipping anything directed by this dude.

this movie felt like a 90's style noire film. this isn't the modern gritty realistic "people count bullets and aim down sights before using military tactics to flank" style. it's got that mindless 90's feel. for that, i enjoyed the movie, just don't expect much and you should be entertained

One of my boys was telling me that he was browsing Reddit and saw a thread by a girl who is the great grand daughter (something like that) of the officer that is played by Josh Brolin.

She said he never got into any gunfights whatsoever and that he had only fired his gun in the field once...and it was a warning shot

Decent quality CAM is out, I'm about to check this out soon, just to kill time. Judging by most people's input, it wasn't worth the money.

Just not really motivated to go see this Movie, Think I'll wait for the DVD to come out

Very cliche. Alot of One-Liners. Would have liked to see my guy Chris Waltz in Sean Penns spot though.

Gosling delivered like always :pimp:

IMO, went to see the movie and it was a big disappointment. Wait for the DVD.

Y'all buggin! Just finished this, I was entertained. Take it for what it's worth. There were no major twist but still a good time IMO. No regrets in the 480 Microsoft points purchase. Some off yal will never be happy with anything :smh:

Sean Penn :x

Sean Penn was def legit in the movie. I was so intrigued by the Mickey Cohen character, that I had to look up info on the real one.

Watched this over the weekend, Was a good movie, Not an all time great or anything just got to take it for what it is,

What annoyed me was that the Squad were so pathetic and virtually put up no fight

Solid movie, thoroughly enjoyed. Might have been because it was a bootleg stream, but something seemed off about Goslings voice. Seemed a little high pitched. Brilliant performance though besides that

Wasnt a fan. Felt like a mix of **** Tracy and LA Confidential with some Joel Schumacher Batman-esque corniness.

Read some reviews for this movie and the critics gave it some AWFUL reviews, but I had a free RedBox rental so I gave it a shot. Glad to know that after reading some of the replies in here that I wasn't the only one that really liked this movie. Sean Penn was a damn boss in this...and I've never even liked him like that. Played that role as perfect as he possibly could. Ryan Gosling was doing some weird high pitched voice at some points in the movie....kinda threw me off. Wish they went deeper into the background history of some of the other characters though. Some of the people in this movie were too big of actors to just be kinda used as throw-ins. Anthony Mackie and the Spanish dude should have been used more.
