I strongly dislike Obama and I have committed to voting for his opponent. It is a tough choice because governor Romney is so rich that he makes my Patrician family look like paupers, he is more wooden than an ancient California Oak and he so inarticulate on the matter of conservative principles that he makes me want to draft Ralph Nader. I have absorbed all of that and I have resolved that a bland technocrat like Romney is preferable to the economic paralysis that President Obama has wrought.
When I learn that Romney is a hostile and angry brute, my image of him as an unpalatable but sober and judicious alternative to Obama is weakened. I generally disregard accounts of youthful indiscretion among candidates (i.e. President Clinton's refusal to "inhale," GW Bush's old DUI charges and candidate Obama's cocaine usage) but this episode shows me that governor Romney may not be the level headed accountant-in-chief that we thought he could be.

Also Cap and Trade was a conservative proposal in the mid-1990s.. That damn liberal Obama, proposing old conservative legislation..

This recession has been very uneven, in terms of those whom it affects. In my strong olds of New Port Beach, CA, West Wood, CA and even the CSUN Campus (yay 81, all is well. When I was sent into the agricultural heart of California, I saw the recession and its very real effects. Dreams deferred and denied are the norm outside of Tony and University strongholds.
Tortured numbers that were created by White House and CBO economists (where is Eric Holder? he said he would prosecute torture by US gov't officials) cannot change the fact that everyone who is not a government official, a part of the financial elite or a UAW worker is suffering a standard of living has been seriously reduced since 2007.

I had that the media/people dismiss what you did when you were younger. People need to be held accountable especially when you hurt someone else.

Romney's feelings towards the homosexual community have flip flopped so many times that it's hard for me to tell if I should be shocked by this or not. It's easy to point at this incident and his current prickish disposition towards the community and say 'I'm not shocked.' Where this gets tricky is that at one point he wasn't the prick that he is now. Like almost to an extent that you think that he had risen above his past @!**@+ attitudes. If you didn't know the middle part, you would think this isn't surprising. Seriously, it's kinda confusing.

Not much has changed from high school I see. Mittens is still an arrogant *$@%%!% with a silver spoon in his mouth. This guy is so ready to send our military off for a war in Iran and wanted to keep us in Afghanistan and Iraq but back when he had a chance to "defend his country" he used daddy's contacts within the Mormon church to dodge the draft 40 years ago. While people were dying in Vietnam where was Romney? He was in France spreading the good word of the Mormon Church (
