The level of D-riding for a man who has literally done nothing in his rap "career" is nothing short of amazing. This dude is a clown. Plain and simple. A troll of the highest level. Has he dropped some good songs here and there? Ya sure. But does that mean his album is going to be some amazing piece of work? Nope. Could be, could not be. But talk about giving someone so much credit they dont deserve.

Even though my avy is a joke, Jay Electronica can only dream of having 1/10 the success of Vanilla Ice.
 
it always amused me how people would say things like "rihanna or justin bieber are illuminati!!! they're trying to control the youth through music!!" just absolutely ********.

but not one person right now is talking about how jay electronica went from sleeping on sidewalks to being laid up in bed with a rothschild and hunting with british politicians.  maybe because that's above the education level of the type of person who would think rihanna holds any grand influence.

Jay's album is never going to drop because he's waist deep in billionaire heiresses right now.  he doesn't have to release another record ever again.  he's good off the mystique and the box it's acquired him.  why drop and flop?

Ok lets move passed the Vanilla Ice stuff and get to the meat of what you just said. You think rap sales have no significance? If that's the case, youre kidding yourself. Do they define somebody? No, of course not. Are they significant to how an artist is viewed? Yes of course. You become one of the greats by being great lyrically/your song making PLUS your rap sales. That's what the greats i.e. The Biggies, Jay-Z's, Nas's, Tupac's, Outkasts, Eminems, Wu-Tangs, NWA's, Scarface's etc have in common. Jay Electronica has not 1 great album under his belt. Just a few good songs here and there. Im just trying to put some of the ridiculous comments into perspective.

^ While you bring up some valid points, the fact that he's yet to drop an album doesn't compromise him as an artist. Dude's still got around 70 tracks that are all hard af.
