Nike began retroing Jordans after he won his first ring so idk. I was just talking about this with a friend of mine today

Wait what? Bigger name for himself? You are aware he in an INTERNATIONAL name/brand right? Where there are pockets of america he isn't popular at I assure you the Asia and Europe (..etc) markets could care less about the "decision" and how many rings he doesn't have. He needs a ring to cement his legacy to sports fans NOT in a marketing sense. As far as older models Zoom Gens are crazy popular as are 2's and 4's and so on....
All that said I don't think it would make sense for Nike to release retros of past shoes while he is an active player. They'd compete against his current sig at that time plus Soliders, (globally Zoom Ambassador). 

Best chance for a retro release while playing is if during an admitted "final season" swan song situation they release a package similar to the defining moments by Jordan.

Just my two cents, but what do I know.

Think About it: since he entered the league, LeBron's shoes have had three different badges(so far):
- the original LBJ23 badge (for Models 1-7),
- the LBJ6 signature (model

The issue is really what would be on the retro's(ie "Nike Air") to separate them-if they would separate them in the first place-

The guaranteed lower quality, material switches (hyperfuse/pleather/suede in place of the OG materials), poor padding and cushioning will be what separates the retro from the OG.

I'm sure all the retro LeBrons 1-7 would have the old LJ23 logo replaced with the new L(crown)J logo. And if they were to be released through NSW then expect some low quality made LeBrons.

How many people would have gone after the Lebron IX this year if the II or III or even IV in a lighter sleeker version had been released?  It doesnt make smart business sense for Nike Basketball to let that happen .... but yes..it will be a consideration if he win's a Chip.. perhaps a Package.. But I wont lie.. if Bron won a Chip.. I would have LOVED to have seen a VII or VIII Package... and some Retro Releases.

Great point. Lebron's sig is just starting to break out and releasing retros would only break the momentum. Once we see sales dip for his sig shoes, retros will be brought into the discussion again.
Again shout out to JP for bringing the Lebron line back to life after a few years of struggling. It only shows how talented the dude is at what he does.
 
Would be nice. Imagine the treatment that the Zoom Generations would get now that the LBJ line is an established signature line. Zoom Generation Dunkmans?

2,3,4................ 5 and 6 had double stacked in the heel and forefoot zoom
 
5 and 6 are hideous to me. All I know is the plastic on the heel of the 3's is annoying. You need like triple layered socks to rock em.
 
I think it's absolutely possible for there to be some Lebron retros soon. Think about it. They first started retroing Jordans (Air Jordan I) around '93, '94, which was about 10 seasons since Jordan first came into the NBA (1984). Between that and his second season, the Air Jordan line was born. Now, we are coming up on Lebron's 10th season. See where I'm going with this?
