Michelle Beadle leaving ESPN for NBC Olympic coverage and Access Hollyweird

Damn, gonna miss her.. i caught her on ESPN sometimes but I never watch Access Hollywood.
hopefully she eats more hotdogs.

She'd normally just be cute but her sports knowledge and personality makes her more attractive to me. Seems like she'd be cool with getting *%*#%# with the Rangers game on as long as it was from the back so she could watch too.

Someone like Erin Andrews is better looking but I feel like she'd be kinda boring.

She hit that like it was nothing

Yeah Thompson is a dumb broad. Mad annoying. I think Skip punishes that punany after every show of First Take though

She seems more suited for Access Hollywood.
I like Thompson because of her looks, not much else.

I actually liked sportsnation.  I'm one of the few that likes Cowherd's personality.  I like how he always annoyed Beadle.

didnt espn just lose rachel nichols to cnn? seems like they just going with the youth movement

I think it's more like...once these people start to make a name for themselves and they are up for a new contract, ESPN doesn't want to pay them.

This.

Espn thinks they can provide the biggest platform so therefore they dont need to shell out top $$, and anyone is essentially replaceable. In reality they don't have the range other networks have in terms of event coverage.

Damn didn't know Nichols bounced. That's why she was covering sports with TNT last week....

They do provide the biggest platform. ESPN is international. NBC, FOX and CBS combined are still behind ESPN/Disney. FOX may have the World Cup, but that's only every four years. ESPNs college football properties including the BCS trumps whatever the other networks can put up.

Everyone is replaceable at big name companies because they can fill that vacancy in a minute. ESPN didn't pay Erin Andrews because her demands were ridiculous. FOX signed her hoping that it would work out for their CFB, but how did that go? Erin who? The loss of Rachel Nichols, Erin Andrews and other faces won't stop the machine that is ESPN. They produce talent and give them platforms that no other network can, whether people like them or not.

This is true.  I do really like NBC Sports Network and NBC's sports coverage in general, so I hope they're able to succeed.

I would give my firstborn to get NBA back on NBC.

she's back to espn :smokin
might have to start watching espn again

Michelle, back where she belongs :pimp:......what a failed experiment though  :smh:

Not really. ESPN was letting everyone go because they didn't want to pay them. Why do you think Erin, Charissa and Rachel all left? ESPN can keep hiring attractive blondes right out of communications schools and pay them a lot less. Problem is, those reporters had built up a lot of rapport in the sports world that can't be matched when you bring in fresh talent. ESPN probably offered her a nice incentive to come back. Beadle won.
