What lies have panhandlers told you? Do you still give them money? Whats the most you give them?

some crack head told me he needed money to buy baby mix (the stuff you mix with the milk that they drink) for his hiv positive daughter, i laughed in his face and kept it moving. this white lady who works at the near by hospital called me a jerk then everyone else laughed at her cuz she was clearly new to the neighborhood. The same crackhead had told my dad that his wife was dying of cancer and he needed money for an operation.

my dad said it's sad tho cuz he seen said crack head go from a healthy man in the 80s to a hunched and bone thin man. i think he was a vietnam vet too.

Mom got approached about a sad mother/daughter story and contributed $20. She said she seen that same lady with that same story about 2 months later when he went back to that laundromat

Moms smartened up, got approached at HEB for some money and told the lady she'll buy her food instead. Druggie got pissed, said forget it and bounced....

dude came up to me downtown like he knew me tombout "yo how u been? *daps me up* u kno i just got out? u gotta couple dollars so i can catch the bus to the crib?"
told him nah i dont got it then proceeded to buy $250 worth of jewelry right in front of him. No dambs givin

I catch a bus in downtown Silver Spring (DC-area) and every so often while I'm waiting, some kids (sometimes what looks as young 4 or 5) come by selling candy or food, but no parent/guardian is in sight. They are lugging these plastic bins, sometimes as big as them, filled with food. They just go up to random people asking to buy stuff.

What happens if the kid gets hurt or even robbed? I never understand why someone would send a small kid out alone for a hustle like that?

I got a soft spot when it comes to women with children in NYC. I be seeing people hustlin hard with the same BS. One dude I saw on 40th and 6th walked up to me and was talking about just getting out the joint and whatever. I told him I aint got no money. Tell me why I saw him 3 days later with the same story. I askeed him " what you do to get locked up again" dude hit me with the stoneface and kept it moving,.

This man knows...I LOVE doing the counteroffer. They never know what to say. %!#@ that, I'm broke too...you give me a damn dollar.

This also works on people who try to sell you %%%% in the streets...one time some "Save the Something" chick walked up to me trying to get me to donate money to the people who process donations. I let her finish...but then, I pulled one of my books out of my utility bag and gave her a sales pitch back. Ever since then I've been doing it...even got a couple e-book sales that way.

i bought the local homeless dude in my area 2 king kobra 40's last night.

dude was overjoyed, seeing the look on his face when i handed him those beverages made me feel really good about myself.

i'll probably get him another 40 next time im around that way

i use to but there's always panhandlers by my job that are out there every day from 12-7pm. i see them every day and they see me and all i can think is we both hustle all day every day, why not apply for a job......i'm going to work every day while you beg. at first they would come to the car but now we just nod, cause they know that's all they'll get from me.

Knew a homeless guy who would always ask for money right across the street from McDonald's. My dad used to spot him a couple of dollars sometimes. One day I see dude walking across the street with McDonald's and wearing metallic silver foam pros.. Never seen him since

the taco truck by my job is bum central! Cant ever go without getting harrassed, ill usually give 50 cents or what change I have to kill the awkwardness while I wait for my food....I have no problem buying food for the homeless people that ask for food.

the other night I was depositing cash into the ATM... I saw a dude digging thru the trash can, so before I went to the atm I handed $3 or 4 bucks....he wasnt expecting it, but i figured he really needed

Nah they play loud %!% music with their boomboxes and be dancing all in between the poles and squeezing in between the *#!@ at the top over ya head while ppl are sitting down. Sometimes I'm just trying to get a nap on the train. $+%! those kids.

Some stupid loser started blocking my path late at night and started following me to the convenience store when I went around him. Once in the store, he seemed to forget about me and started using expletives at the clerk for no reason while I looked around for toothpaste. Then when I got in line, he started bad mouthing me and tried to get me to buy some cigarettes for him. When I told him no, he said I'll see you outside. At this point I was worried and was scoping out my options. Sure enough he followed me outside and started bumping me, so I reached into my wallet and gave him a dollar. He wasn't happy and was asking for 10 dollars. Ended up just running out of there.

I feel like a lot of them can tell that I'm a nice guy, so when I'm the only one in a group that they reach out to, I feel pretty bad.

The thing about is most of them aren't kids anymore. It's mostly grown men with tattoos. I can't stand them either.

1 time I seen one of the dancer with a baby and his baby moms on the side. Thinking to myself get a real job. She's actually cool with that

I gave $10 to a homeless woman and her two kids in a McDonalds a few years back. Said she just needed enough to feed her kids.
Gave another dude $4. He was in really bad shape....my boy decided to start teasing him, said "Yo Charlie come over here!" and said "I'ma give you $10" then when he started coming over he rolled up the window and started laughing. I couldn't drive off after that. I don't like seeing people struggle.

Of course there's always a chance they both played me and I fell for it

I hate the dudes that try to sell you their CDs saying they're going to blow up soon more than homeless guys. They always come saying it's free, etc and then try and ask for money. Most of the time I only carry credit/debit cards and this one time dude came up to me, gave me a CD and asked for any change to help him. I fumbled around my pockets and came up with 3 dimes. He gave me a stoneface, took the CD out of my hands, and walked away.

There's a family always on the trains in NYC. It's a mother, an infant child, and her husband playing the accordion. I see them at least 2-3 times a week.
The husband plays music as the wife goes around and gives everyone the sad look.

Another woman on the train was with her young child. She was giving the speech about being homeless asking for money or food. Whatever people can spare.
A very generous woman goes into her Whole Foods bag and gives her some food. The lady turns around and says no, Do you have any money? The nerve of
some people.

Dude in downtown DC at the FBI building was playing some good $#% trumpet, buddy and I each gave him $5. Dude gave me a hug
