Breaking Bad Thread - "El Camino" - A Breaking Bad Movie on Netflix 10/11

She conveniently leaves out all of the distasteful things that Skyler does to draw fans disdain.

The dislike for Skyler is no different than the one I have for Betty White, although that has subsided due to her lesser role in the show. I don't get how she and others can't understand that if a character is written to be a ***** ppl will not like that character.

As for this piece, can't be addressed to us. I may want Skyler dead but not Anna Gunn. Gunn is a really good actress.
 
yea i never said anything about her personally or as an actress, she should just take it as a compliment to her skill that ppl feel this way towards her character.

Pretty much, even though I don't hate Skylar at all and actually find her to be one of the better characters on the show, I can see why some dont like her. Anna Gunn as an actress has gotten close to 0 criticism in this thread, my circle of friends that watch BB and anyone with sense. You find a lot of deranged minds on those fan boards/Facebook groups and **** so I don't think she is making a good assessment on what the real barometer for her performance as an actress is.
 
I don't watch this show but I hear enough about it through social media. I was going to post the same article because I thought it was a load of garbage from someone who's full of herself. People hate the Skyler character because she's a terrible person not because she's a woman.
 
Walt is a worse person than skyler and that doesn't seem to stop people cheering him on. I actually think she's right. I think Carmella is much, much worse than skyler.

Walt could have had his ex female partner from grey matter pay for his medical treatment. And he could have stopped a long time ago. He's a giant piece of ego. I stopped rooting for him a while ago.
 
carmella was willfully ignorant and supplicant to tony, but skylar for all her theatrics and demeaning of walt isnt really any different.  skylar talkin to the lawyer was like carmella with the pastor.  just someone to pass their guilt off on to.  if skylar was trill, she wouldnt have turned around at the crossroads when she coulda left.  walt is an antihero, and all ego, but it wouldnt be a show if he just took gretchens money, and i could just imagine how skylar would have looked at him and treated him after if he had.

alot of people that are fans of the show, take the drug theme too far, when it comes to her roll. She is the typical everyday mid-age white women who stands for everything right on the surface, but underneath
is turned on by her power of love and control of walt's man-hood and love for her, which in turn she feeds off the power of being rich just like any rich person would. If she even had visual of 10% of the things
walt has been involved in she would be loved like carmella from the soprano's, but because she is delusional to her "breaking bad" she is hated. Something tells me she gonna make a turn but its too late now, series is over.


sidenote: not to state the obvious but is also is really not attractive at all.

There are reasons to not like Skylar. While some may take it to the extreme, but the reasons are there.
 
Maybe it's me, but I started watching the show back in March on a Netflix binge and I never found myself hating on Skylar's character.
 
The only reason I dislike her is her infidelity. It was messed up and I don't like people who cheat on their spouses. I was hoping walt would've gotten action from that teacher/principal he had his eye on for payback.

In the episode "Sunset", Hank pulls the tape from the bullet holes on the outside of the RV. Three beams of light come through and show on Walt's stomach.

Could that be some foreshadowing?

I hate Skyler the character. I wish no ill will on the actress portraying her and anyone that does has much deeper issues
