Breaking Bad Thread - "El Camino" - A Breaking Bad Movie on Netflix 10/11

read an article on this past episode. Apparently when the baby started saying mama over and over again, that was unplanned. In the scene Cranston was supposed to just bring the baby up to his eye level and start crying, but during filming the baby's actual mom was standing 3 feet behind cranston prompting the baby to start calling for her, Cranston went with it and the final effect is what we are shown.
that is the definition of great acting.

I for one am a fan of the Aryans and this storyline. If the theories are true then it's really only fitting it ends this way. Walt already let Gray Matters slip through his fingers he's not about to lose that kind of recognition again. his pride won't let him lose EVERYTHING again, even though he pretty much has.
Cranston is the best in the business at this point.
Dude just gets it.

And agreed, I don't think he's letting anything past him.
He's just treading lightly for the time being.

ratings for the show have quadrupled since the start of season 5 damn

plus im confident that flashback scene was partially an attempt to get people into/to buy the earlier season$$$$

To me the smartest thing this show has done was make itself available on Netflix . I know for myself and others wouldn't have given this show a chance if it wasn't for that. A high school chemistry teacher begins selling meth and starts taking in mils in a years time , where they do that at ?

Very emotional episode.. Honestly this episode alone should solidify the series final emmy's.. Honestly this show pretty much KILLED my interest in the end of Dexter.. And the writers literally outdid themselves.. R.I.P Hank smh dude had too much pride I knew he would go out fighting though.. Walt is stupid as hell for telling them about ALL the money he coulda easily offered them a cool couple million.. All he did was get hank killed and lose his money. I was disappointed to se a fellow crazy calculated sociopath like Walt lose it like that taking the baby and just doing a bunch of pointless things it really showed how human the guy really is.
I initially felt Walt was stupid about telling them about all the money but I realized that when he called the Aryans for help he gave them the exact coordinates of a specific location......the Aryans knew that there was something of importance at that location and I think had Walt said anything or not the Aryans would have gone there and eventually figured it out.

The fact that regardless of what Walt Jr and Skylar said and think about Walt, he still took the fall for ALLL of it and exonerated them is truly amazing.
A man provides. And he does it even when he's not appreciated, or respected, or even loved. He simply bears up and he does it. Because he's a man.
He really has become Gus in some rights. (Except sloppy)

Thought this was interesting as well:

Look like damn near same jackets, Just different lighting.

Edit: on second thought, not really, pockets are different

Reason I havent seen the wire yet.

I did see GoT though.

Does The Wire really compare to this show? If it does, then I'm about to cop every season of The Wire very soon.

I've seen the first 2 episodes and couldn't get into it, but everyone's saying Breaking Bad and The Wire are just as good

Think it takes a few episodes to get used to.
I didn't like breaking bad at first. By the fourths episode I was hooked

The Wire is better IMO

and I think Breaking Bad is awesome

In reference to the bullet hole reflection pic, the bullet hole could represent the "death" of Walter White since he has now lost everything....the clear image (still standing) could be Heisenberg.

Son, those are definitely different colored jackets

Also Walt takes on attributes of characters after he kills them, not before unless yall trying to say those flash forwards take place after he kills him.

I literally burst out laughing when Marie strolled into that carwash on her high horse.

Not much in the history of entertainment has made me want to cry, but those scenes with the baby (her crying momma & her scared in the truck) almost did me in. Felt soooo bad for the baby and Walt dude did this for his family(and ego) and has to leave his lil girl like that ahhh man I got a lil lady of my own **** broke my heart.

When Walt left Holly at the Fire Station, I saw there was a note, was it their home address?

Or did Walt 'give her up' so that she can be raised by somebody else?

not even close

The Wire and Breaking Bad are two completely different types of shows so it's pretty hard to compare them. It's like comparing Wayne Gretzky to Michael Jordan.

It's all about style and what you like. I love both shows and learned to appreciate them separately. People who love the realism and social commentary of The Wire may not like Breaking Bad as much (because obviously BB is not meant to be REAL like The Wire). People who love BB for its cinematography, nuggets, and overall ability to keep your heart pounding week-to-week may not like The Wire as much.

They're VERY different shows and it's best that you enjoy both without keeping the other one in mind until you get to the end. Appreciate both of them and if you like one more than the other, great.

This. Both shows are great in their own way.

walt's confession to jesse :wow:

walt making sure skylar & walt jr. weren't going to be held responsible for anything was crazy too... it shows just how much love he has for his family. same with when he was going to pay everything he had for hank.
