Breaking Bad Thread - "El Camino" - A Breaking Bad Movie on Netflix 10/11

those picture coordinates will def come up

wouldnt be surprised if gus was sitting on a couple 100m's

I don't think they were coordinates tho. Could've sworn they were routing numbers.

Edit:

What JJ said.

The Sopranos was no where near as cohesive and it lost it's direction many times. I don't think the show always had a clear vision.

Those numbers weren't coordinates

It was routing numbers for off shore accounts.

Hence how they connected mike an his crew to the money.

i means routing #'s not coordinates... still engulfed in the last 2 ep's...this fool had to give exact coodinates im still a lil pissed about that... was def a walter move not big H

I love Breaking Bad but it is not better than the Sopranos.

The Sopranos was a revolutionary show. It was the show that kicked off the whole "rooting for the bad guy" thing.

The revolutionary aspect can't be understated.. but that doesn't make up for weaker episodes or storylines.

The Sopranos was no where near as cohesive and it lost it's direction many times.

Correct.. plus over the course of the series you had more filler episodes or plots that weren't their best. Breaking Bad will be like a champion boxer calling it quits when he's still in his prime. That's why I wasn't as devastated at this final season being split or the show ending "too soon". I think they could have handled 2 full seasons fine, but some people asking for another few seasons or a movie need to realize that no show will produce at this high of level after this many years.

Even The Wire, arguably the best show of all time, hit a rough spot here and there in season 5. But Breaking Bad's consistency is extraordinary.

The Sopranos and Breaking Bad are better comparisons than either to The Wire.. but it won't be blasphemy to say Breaking Bad beats out The Sopranos after these final 2 episodes (assuming they continue their excellent run).

I keep asking myself why would Walt come back? Especially with that big gun.
Only thing I could think of is that he is trying to kill multiple people.
So I'm assuming its the Nazis and it has something to do with his family being threatened.

I just keep thinking Walt hasn't owed up to his end of the deal. He was supposed to cook 1 time for them.

What do you guys think?
:nerd:

well he did involuntarily give them 70 mil and a meth cook...dont think he owes them much

pulling for jesse these last 2 eps..walt can go to belize

That Grantland post is completely wrong about the Jesse part. Trying to make Walt out to be some super super genius. He did not know Jesse was there the whole time. He only knew after Hank died and he fell to the ground in such anguish, that's when he sees under his own car. The camera even shows us Walt's pov. That's when he snaps back in to reality, realizes Hank's death is Jesse's fault or at least large part and wants him to be the first dead in his road to revenge. The second Walt shakes Jack's hand when he says he needs to know things are good he's already planning on killing all of the Aryans, especially Todd. However, his first priority is to try and dip with his family with what money he has left.

The way I see things going. Walt sees the blue is back on the market, knows Jesse's alive and the Aryans reneged on their deal. That'll be his excuse he'll tell himself to come back but I'm sure that year alone in such seclusion will have given him enough time to say I'm gonna just waste these Aryan bastards. He's not coming back for his money, he's coming back to settle deaths. The ricin is for Jesse, he'll pretend to save him and then somehow trick him in to taking it with something. (I expect during this whole year's worth of time Jesse is still being treated like **** in between cooks). The M60 is for the Aryans, he'll waste them all in a believable manner.

The way I want it he'd survive and just disappear somewhere, to Belize or Alaska but he'll very likely die.
My prediction: Blue Meth reammerges. Walt sees that Jesse is still alive. Gets the Ricin to poison the Aryans the same way Gus poisoned the Cartel.

He saves Jesse and for repayment for saving him, Walt begs Jesse to kill him to put him out of his misery because he doesn't have his family, name or empire anymore.
What does Walt do with the M60 then? Give it to Jr.?

I think the aryans or Jesse end up killing his family. I don't think he comes back for the money since he was so willing to give it up and go away with skyler and the kids, I don't think he comes back to rescue Jesse since they've officially fallen out, so all that leaves me with is his family is dead.

Now as to why his family dies. Aryans kill them as collateral damage. They know the tape is at Marie's house. Place is going to be crawling with Feds, so maybe they use a bomb or something. Skyler and co just happen to be there.

Jesse kills them for revenge. Payback for letting Jane die, poising Brock, and letting the Aryans (assuming they end up hurting Andrea and Brock) find out about Andrea and Brock.

I have no idea how they're going to answer all these questions in two episodes tho. We still have something like 6 months until the Denny's scene.

Remember Felina.

I think we all know Walt is dying when this show ends. There can be no "after" You'd always wonder, what did Walt do "after" it was over.

No. There will be an "end"

And yes, I would assume the M60 is for killing multiple people.  I didn't see a silencer or anything, so yeah.

Ok, well if those were off shore accounts for Gus, what was the amounts in them? I wanna know what kinda money dude had if Walt pulled 80 mil in over a year.

I finished all the seasons last winter. Really enjoyable for me. McNulty is one of the more entertaining tv characters i've ever seen. I've learned to ignore all the "best tv show" ever talk. People's choice always changes. Before it was Lost, then The Wire, and now BB. All those shows are so different.
The Wire is the greatest show on HBO, arguably on cable. BB is the greatest show on non-premium cable, arguably on cable. See what I did there?

It's all a matter of preference because I love both, but I will die saying the Wire is the best.

Lost, is the greatest show on standard broadcasting...even though the finale was subpar.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.

This is where BB trully ended for me.

The fact that regardless of what Walt Jr and Skylar said and think about Walt, he still took the fall for ALLL of it and exonerated them is truly amazing.

A man provides. And he does it even when he's not appreciated, or respected, or even loved. He simply bears up and he does it. Because he's a man.

He really has become Gus in some rights. (Except sloppy)

Thought this was interesting as well:

Look like damn near same jackets, Just different lighting.

Edit: on second thought, not really, pockets are different
Are you blind?

Didn't Gus have to break off the cartel, though? Or was Gus's territory, his territory? As opposed to Walt who didn't have to break off anybody except Lydia, which pales in comparison to what the cartel got if he had to break them off. I don't think we'll ever know, but Gus was caking big time. I don't think it even really matters. 80M to ??? whatever Gus made. Crazy numbers. All cash too. :wow:

It's just the ricin that really doesn't make sense at this point. There's nobody to poison if Walt is coming with the M60. The word is out about Walt being Heisenberg, so I don't think a Lydia would even meet with him considering how she is. Walt wouldn't kill Marie. No point in poisoning Jesse, or using it on himself when he can just use a gun in either case.

I been reading some reviews and one said Jesse is sorta like Krazy 8 now in a sense. A prisoner who has a death sentence, both chained up by a 'U' lock.
