Breaking Bad Thread - "El Camino" - A Breaking Bad Movie on Netflix 10/11

If yall don't think **** been hit the fan I don't know what to say. Nothing is really rushed unless you were expecting a nation wide manhunt for Walt as he took on federal marshals, Mexican cartels, and Czech dealers

Is anybody watching Under the Dome? Dean Norris is doing nothing but breaking bad in that. I've seen him kill more ppl in one season than Walt I think  :smokin

:wow: do tell more
If yall wanted that to happen

That'd be crazy. Prison Break status. Might as well one of them fugitive type movies.

The M60 is the only thing got me thinking this might end similar to Scarface.

Hank and Gomey can literally use Walt as a human shield to escape. The bikers will not kill him because they need him to cook.

my problem with this idea is how reckless they were shooting. they already blew out all the windows in the back and walt was getting pelted with debris/shrapnel from all the gunfire. he literally had to hide under the seat. if walt was so important (and he is)... why would they even be shooting near him. just sloppy imo.

some folks have brought up the idea that the nazi's were just firing off warning shots, to explain away the poor aim and lack of damage. that could be true... and i honestly wouldn't be surprised if the gunfire stops and the nazi's are on some, 'we can do this all day... let's negotiate' stuff. if so, that's seems like a cop out excuse to have a random shootout, imo.

more i think about it, everything about the setup was just lame to me. how Huell got pulled.... then flipped for no reason ... the phone convo with Jesse.... Walt's driving... the nazi's showing up in record time.... not showing the badges... the a-team shootout. just so many smh moments.

i mean... Hank and Jesse were on his tail/tracking his phone call and it took them a minute before they showed up. nazi's were eating lunch when Walt called, and made it out there mounted up with heavy artillery in less time. just silly man. silly.

show is highly entertaining, no doubt. i just have a hard time when people over-analyze every scene of this show and praise BB for it's elite story-telling and attention to detail in one post... then explain away it's missteps with a simple, 'it's TV, don't over-think it'.

A+ tho.

Complaints about the shootout, even if Gomez and/or Hank gets hit the first 5 seconds of the next episode, are completely justified.

The Nazis showed up quickly, maybe they were closer to start with than Walt was.. but it was still "easy".

Not hitting anything was pretty ridiculous. They could have just shortened it if they wanted a cliffhanger shootout, so that was an issue.

Plus, as mentioned earlier, the sound editing has been terrible this season. A few times I couldn't hear what characters were saying, and then Jesse on the phone to Walt sounded really off. Maybe that last one was intentional, but it took me out of the scene.

switch mexican cartel with aryans and you basically have whats most likely gonna happen in the last 3 episodes though

yea how these dudes dispose of declan and his deep crew but cant dispose of two old out of shape dudes and an unarmed fat head hiding in the car?

they disposed of declan and his boys with the quickness

Maybe they surprised Declan and Hank/Gomez saw them coming? I don't really care about that, it was just pushing it a bit considering how wildly they shot at the car, considering Walt was in there, and it seemed to go on too long.

Anyway...

Gilligan has said this is the best episode of the season.

"stamped on these lifeless things...the hand that mocked and the heart that fed" = hank and jesse :nerd:

edit: hank is the hand that mocked, jesse is the heart that fed, dead on the site/remains of where walt buried his money

The shootout at the end of the last episode was sooooooooo out of character for this show, they can do better than that. They should have ended it as soon as the first shot was fired, it would have made for such a better cliffhanger than the two parties unloading unlimited amount of bullets towards each other.

if Gilligan said today's episode is the best of the season.. we're truly gonna be glued to our seats.

:pimp:

When people start complaining about sound editing, is when you know they're reaching. I stream this on my tablet and hear everything perfectly with no difficulty at all.

i think we like this show so much we rather believe in the characters flaws as if they were real rather than criticize the writing and direction...

nothing is ever perfect...

I want the M60 to be for Brock.
All this nonsense for this little disrespecting punk? Naw naw.

I wouldnt mind seein Brock full of lead as the final scene.

It's a valid complaint. A tablet you are holding 10 inches away from your face or using ear phones is different than watching it on a t.v. The "whispering" scenes these last few episodes were noticeably lower than before. I watch is closed captions just to be sure I'm catching everything they're saying.

As for the shootout, I completely forgot about Pinkman being in the car. Knowing Walt, he'll probably broker a deal with the Nazis - take Pinkman, who knows how to cook blue and who he wants to get rid of anyway, and let him (Walt) go with the DEA. On one hand the DEA agents live, on the other hand they have no case without Pinkman. Walt wins again.

at this point tho if they let hank and gomez go, hank and gomez still know walts money is there even w/o jesse

That would be genius.
