Breaking Bad Thread - "El Camino" - A Breaking Bad Movie on Netflix 10/11

Dudes are going to analyze everything and figure out the plot. Minues whale just sit back and enjoy the ride. Only 7 episodes left.
With that being said I was upset they decided to break it up this way. Would have been so much better all in one shot.

Is anyone gonna rewatch all five seasons in the foreseeable future, like on DVD or Netflix?

I don't think I can watch it again. Too depressing for me, although it's one of the the best shows I ever watched.

It's deeper than that. At that point, the writers were showing us how far he was willing to go for personal gain for NO REASON.  The way Gayle was framed in terms of his character, he was innocent-yeah, smart-yeah, but he still annoyed you because he wasn't Jesse. That was purposely done. He didn't have any quality that endeared you to him as a character. Meanwhile Brock represents Jesse turning into someone more responsible and he's an innocent kid. Walter has children, so what does that say? That showed he was willing to push boundaries no matter who it was. All for what? To keep controlling Jesse for his gain? That act was a real turning point for that character.
i feel what youre saying and youre right about gale being a foil to jesse.  as far as walts kids, i mean he copped da hemi for jr and missed holly's birth.
iirc it wasnt to keep controlling jesse but gus's desert meeting that prompted him get desperate after skylar gave the money away.

I see myself watching this show, from beginning to end, a good 8 more times throughout my lifetime. Serious.

am i the only that wonders what happened to todd? at the end of last season, he basically replaced jesse and knows about the whole operation and was leaning how to cook

im thinking he comes back in a big way

he just not the student jesse was, but maybe he aint tryna have walt come back and just waltz in and shine on him

Ok, I might have been fuzzy on the reason why he used the ricin on Brock, but the point of it is, he's willing to do whatever to keep his operation going.

Some should really rewatch the series because a lot have forgotten important plot details

Yeah, I say rewatch at least once. When rewatching it, I discovered how Madrigal was connected to everything. I was confused about that at first.

Show is so good

I wonder if Hank ever discovers the wire taps Walt put in his office
I'm pretty sure Walt took all of those out when he decided to quit for good.
I know we are all just predicting and no one truly knows what's gonna happen but....

You have to be foolish to think Jesse would snitch to get off. He's already in a mental prison. He is tormented. He has always been and he's come to terms with who he is as a person ever since he admitted to those rehab people he was there to sell them meth.

Jesse goes to jail for Gale's murder, dies or suicide. But I would bet any money at any odds he doesn't snitch. Plus his only true father figure (Mike) was so anti snitching I don't see him breaking that code.
Hey Walt was a father figure to Jesse first. I'm pretty sure Walt still sort of sees himself that way. The way Jesse is now who knows what he'll do. He knows he could never be the man Mike was.
Walt Junior needs to die, he's useless

What you talkin about? Walt JR is the heir to the throne. He's gonna open up a chain of breakfast restaurants that'll dwarf IHOP and then have his superior meth shipped in his breakfast shipping trucks. He'll have the drug empire Walt started and be known as the drug kingpin Flint. The seeds have already been planted. What you think he and his friend have been doing for 4 seasons?

See my prediction for the season. Don't wanna ruin it for anyone.

:smokin
In an alternate reality, in the BB universe, this would be awesome
A kid with cerebral palsy running a meth empire? Nobody would ever guess.

I know this is from the last episode of season "5A", but I was re-watching it yesterday and right when Hank gets up to go inside Marie and Skylar are talking about hair products and **** and Marie says "it's like a halo" a few times while drawing a halo shape over her head like 3 times...could mean nothing, but it just seemed like something to focus on.

Anyway, can't wait for these last 7 episodes. :wow:

You stop rooting for Walt when you realize he'll kill people for personal gain and not just because they're a bad person. Killing Gayle bugged me, but I absolutely turned on Walt when he poisoned Brock.

i see it like if he was that reprehensible he would have killed brock.  what walt did was in his mind no crueler than pinching a baby to make it cry for tv.
This right here. Walt made a calculated decision that was part of his plan to manipulate Jesse in to giving up a location so he could kill Gus and at that time he still kinda had it in his mind that Gus would eventually kill him along with wanting to kill him cuz of cutting him lose, taking Jesse, and stealing his recipe (something in hindsight that was all too familiar to what went down with Gray Matter). You let Walt call it and and Brock was never in any real danger. Yeah accidents happen but in this case it didn't.

For me Walt would have to willingly and ruthlessly/cowardly sacrifice his kids to get back in and maintain his meth empire for me to wash my hands of any support but I doubt that will happen now. He's out and is just trying to keep himself and I guess Skyler out of prison. That's where all the Heisenberg motivation is being focused in to now.

I can't think of anyone Walt has directly killed that wasn't already doing dirt. Gale worked for a drug kingpin, Tuco, Crazy 8, Emilio all dealers, dealers in the street he ran over and shot to kill Jesse, Jane a junkie that made Jesse an addict, 9 convicts all who did dirt, Mike lets be serious, blew up Gus and snake face and Hector, etc. It goes on and on of victims who were apart of a world where being killed was the expected top cause of their demise. Only the indirect plane crash victims play a part but there's several ppl to blame in that situation.

Which episode? :nerd:
It think it's the second to last episode of last season (5A). Can't remember which one though. He goes into his office faking marital problems again and gets Hank to go get coffee again... Damn I see why Hank was so angry. He got played over and over again. :smh:
