Breaking Bad Thread - "El Camino" - A Breaking Bad Movie on Netflix 10/11

I don't see Walt killing Gretchen and Elliott as being a fair act of revenge. They didn't kill his family or threaten his life, they're insulting his work and contributions. It's a dishonor, not a violent act. What would the appropriate respond be for those two? Dying by ricin? Or having their name and legacy dragged through the mud? Or having their life's work be destroyed? If Walt could find a way to destroy Grey Matter, not by spraying their office and lab with an M60

but by hurting their public image and sinking them financially.

The interview mentioned how their drug awareness/rehab whatever plan could be seen as a public image move, so if that's a concern Walt could do something to hurt their company in that way.
then the ricin? Could it be to slip it into lydias chamomile tea?

Love the show, but I cannot stand the timelines.

All 5 seasons equal one year, but now one full year has passed in one episode. Ugh, just hate that. They could have easily done another season explaining what happened.

Maybe I'm just wanting more and can't stand to say goodbye, but I can't be alone in thinking this.

Walt turned 51 in episode 4 of season 5. By episode 8 it had been a few months, as shown in the "crystal blue persuasion" montage. Think how many times they showed Walt making the exchange with Lydia at the cafe. Think how many Vamanos Pest tent's were shown popping up. Time passed. And Walt's been out of the game for a month at the time Hank finds the book.

He's up in New Hampshire for 4-5 months. They showed how on his first day he tried to escape, but was too weak. There's not much story to tell in those months anyway. Walt's shacked up. Jr hates Walt's guts. Skylar's life is miserable. Jesse slaves away cooking meth for the Nazi's. That stuff doesn't need any more time than it got.

From the flashforward
You can see easily gets in and out of his house pretty quickly without anyone saying anything to him

she doesnt mean a damn thing...

I'm talking bout the feds saying anything to him..

WTH are you talking about the feds?
laugh.gif
You say that he gets in and out of his house with out anyone saying anything to him.  Then you say, Im talking about the feds saying anything to him.  Of course the feds didn't say anything to him, there weren't any there you jabroni.  The only person who saw him however, did react.

This was all about the whole fact that did Walt call the dea as a diversion or to really turn himself in.

the original point I was making was nobody (meaning feds) were at the house when he went and got the ricin.

Can't believe the finale is next week. Wish there was some sponsor and have the finale be two hours and commercial free.
Meth Damon is ruthless. Didn't think Jesse Plemmons could play the sociopathic character like he has. Walt Jr. pissed me off, I can see where he's coming from, but still.

Everyone who has encountered Walt had their lives turn out for the worse minus Gretchen and Elliot, but that looks like that's about to change.

I love how everything is being wrapped up, but I still wished there was a bit more back story on Gus. Unfortunately that ship has sailed.

I don't even want to speculate on how it ends. I'm just gonna sit back enjoy the ride. It's been amazing.

walt does not know jesse is still alive and the aryans are still cooking meth.

my prediction:

m60 for aryans. finds jesse is still alive. jesse asks walt to let him do one thing before walt kills jesse. jesse kills todd. walt lets jesse go. m60 for gray matter. ricin for lydia.

walt is not turning himself in. somehow, he will be wounded during battle and will die of it.

the opening theme towards the end of the episode got me hyped. can't believe there is only 1 episode left. its been a great ride guys.

honestly i dont think they did anything wrong. sure they look bad but thats because the show is from walts perspective, any major company would do what they did. of course you break off all ties to a past employee if they are found out to be a criminal, i dont see anyone mad at the patriots for disowning aaron hernandez

walt does not know jesse is still alive and the aryans are still cooking meth.
In the special they made mention that the blue meth is still around and made it to Europe...he knows somethings up.

Jesse been through hell man. I'm almost certain he lives.

Todd character is going to blow up after BB. Can see him playing many roles. But i want to to see him as The Joker

His character Landry was really innocent and likable in Friday Night Lights too.

It makes seeing him be so ruthless even more :smokin

Yup thanks Hbo softening the loss of Bb :pimp:
Now as for The grey matter people, hes isnt doing anything to them.
Seeing them on tv saying what they said set him off and
Made him realize that nobody appreciated what he did ever. With Meth being made and still being sold but him not getting anything out of to walt jr and skylar turning on him. To being casted out like that on television about grey matter. He is all out of dambs now. That's just what I think though

Walt was DEFINITELY really giving himself up when he called the DEA. I mean...if he did it as a move, why would he sit and have a nice calm drink before he left?

His beloved son just told him to die. He was defeated.

If he didn't see the Gray Matter stuff on the television, he would still be at the bar when the police came in.

So what do we do when it's all over? Rewatch as a group, or just wait for the spinoff?
