Breaking Bad Thread - "El Camino" - A Breaking Bad Movie on Netflix 10/11

Perfect death for todd would be for jessie to trap him in the lab and light the place on fire and while burning to death he shows no pain and starts trying to have a casual conversation with jessie

Just hit me...what if Jesse does that and commits suicide that way? Would be insane

Someone skipped breakfast...
Actually had a delicious Turkey, egg and cheese on a hard roll earlier

I'm just sayin I'd feel like my dad was that dude, you could could never get me to speak ill of my old man if he put his life on the line for the fam the way Walt has.

Yeah but Jr. doesn't even let Walt try to explain. As soon as he saw Walt and Skylar in that altercation in the kitchen, he didn't want anything to do with his dad.
not necessarily. at first walt jr didnt do anything, he just stood there pleading both of them to stop. then when walt jr saw his dad get aggressive after he got hold of the knife, thats when he jumped in, probably realizing that his dad might actually be dangerous.

even in the phone call in last nights episode, walt jr listened to him and answered his questions. it wasnt until walt mentioned money that jr got upset. despite the ending of the conversation, i think jr was glad to hear from his dad and to know hes still alive.....well in the beginning of the phone call at least

Just gonna leave these here.

Almost slipped up and made an extremely inappropriate comment with my wife sitting right next to me.

Saying Mad Men is just about a guy who gets laid and people who drink is very reductive. It would be like saying The Sopranos is "Just about a mobster who kills people" or Breaking Bad is "about a guy who gets cancer and cooks meth". You're missing the larger themes of the show. And it's not meant to be an insult, it's not as if all the themes and concepts are hidden and you have to decode them  but it's deeper than the surface dismissals of "Oh he's just drinking and cheating every season". Don, Peggy, Pete, have all become complex and developed characters over the course of the show. And anyone saying "It's still the same show" either stopped watching or can't pay attention  It's not the same stories, last season was incredible and I can't wait for their final seasons.

It's a slower paced show without any action, so it's difficult to compare watching Breaking Bad vs. Mad Men in that respect. Watching Breaking Bad is an experience.. there's tension and suspense, which Mad Men can't offer in the same way. Again, saying it's just the same stuff would be like saying Breaking Bad is just "Walt and Jesse get in over their heads, then they get a plan to save themselves" Wasn't that the case with Krazy 8?... then Tuco?... then Gus?...

Mad Men is slower and some people just can't get into it.. I understand that. But just because you can't get into it or you get bored doesn't mean it's not good. It's still one of the best shows ever.
Good post. I watched about halfway through season 1 expecting there to be some overarching story. Something that ties every character together, but never got it.

That's what bored me. I felt as if there was no real overall story to follow. Just a bunch of individual characters going about their business.

Then again it takes me a few watches to get completely into anything. I had to watch the Breaking Bad pilot at least 3 times for it to click.

I plan on forcing myself to watch since it's considered one of the great shows of our time and I don't wanna be left out.

flynn in orange means gruesome death hopefully

or VG knows we think we kno what will happen & it wont

carmen is slingin ...need to meat her

after thinking about it, they NEED to kill walt. nothing good ever happens to anyone who interacts with him

Jessie has caused all of this........... from calling out Gus for using kids, to deciding to turn snitch, he is just a guilty and cupable as Walt, not because you want to gain a conscience you are free from all the benefits this lifestyle has gotten you, He had a choice to start over...Wanna be Gangsta, Eminem who thought he was running the streets with his "Chilli P" wanna get all soft when he see some dead bodies, that all come with the game...

No man will turn their father in, let alone not hear him out when you hear he is a drug dealer, none, especially for slanging ice... some of yall need to stop it,

All in all I hope some of you get out of this show that Life is about people making good or Bad Decisions, "Breaking Bad" don't make you Evil........

thing is whatever decision walt makes turns out to be a bad decision and whenever anyone makes the decision to interact with walt it ends up being a bad decision.

Jessie: would have been just one of the boys chillin with skinny p and badger living a normal life. walt forces him into the partnership and every last bit of his soul gets ripped out of him

every drugdealer he deals with seasons 1-3: ends up dead

gus: brilliant businessman, spends years building the infrastructure to support a huge meth empire and even finds the perfect low key chef who can cook great meth. ends up hiring walt, everything falls apart he ends up dying.

skyler: finds out that walt is cooking meth but tries to help him hide it, she ends up losing her husband and having her family in constant danger. no matter how much money walt makes, she would trade it all to return things to what they were pre cancer in a heart beat.

hank: smart DEA agent that loves his job, because of walt he almost gets killed twice before finally getting killed while walt watches.

hell you cant even have a friendly conversation with him at a bar without your daughter dying and a plane crashing.

sure hes doing things for his famly but at the end of 5 seasons, there is not a single character that is better off than they were in season 1 because of what walt has done. dude is just bad luck and needs to die

So Jesse been cookin for months now and Todd still don't got the cook down?
Todd has completely ditched the plan of learn the cook and let so and so go. That was for Walt anyway.

This is the new plan; make Jesse our cook slave until he dies. It's questionable whether Todd knows the recipe but his main thing is why do it alone? Why do it at all when you got a slave to do it for you?

but its your father youre going to hear him out
I refuse to refer to Flynn as Jr I wish others would as well.

Dude wouldn't even let his old man speak, dude is ungrateful as hell ya dead is on the verge of death and willing to put his life on the line everyday to make sure you're good when he's gone nd this is how you repay the man?

The disrespect is astounding.
It is hard to hear your father out when all he did was lie to you for the past year and the truth led to his uncle dying among other things. In Jr.'s eyes he's probably nowhere as close to Walt as he thought he was hence his anger and complete dismissal of Walt.

Plus I'm sure Marie has been in his ear heavy since.

At this point there's nothing Walt can do to gain Jr.'s trust back. I think he should just focus on leaving a vid to explain everything to the main ppl who should know the truth and one especially for Holly, Malcolm, Dewey, Reese, Jamie, and Francis.

I love, hell, I adore BB.

But 'The Wire' holds a spot in my soul that no show can replace. I'm not even from B-more, but I feel like I was a part of that town and story somehow. You knew you were in for a ride the moment they broke down 'Snot Boogies" death.

Jesse isn't a threat unless he tries to run away which he did and failed, and unlikely he'd try again because of what happened to Andrea. If the DEA comes knocking, it's all over for them anyway, Jesse or no Jesse. Why not let Jesse cook? 96 percent..
