Breaking Bad Thread - "El Camino" - A Breaking Bad Movie on Netflix 10/11

All the talk of kids in the episode makes me wonder if Walt Jr. / Flynn is going to get murked. An enemy of Walt's could fill Jr.'s new car up with some bullet holes like Sylar has been fearing. We're still waiting for the Germans to play a bigger role in the storyline.

dawg...if Walt Jr. dies i'm gonna be legit sad bro :smh:
and i'm so ready to see what Walt needs the machine gun for :smokin :smokin :smokin

Did anyone realize that the most dominant characters in the show have really short hair? Walt is a given with no hair, but you can see the progress of how Jesse grows balls through out the series as his hair gets shorter. Tuco, Leonel, and Marco Salamanca, Gus Fring, Hank, Mike, and Tyrus (kind of). Krazy-8 from the first season (kid who was locked in the basement) had hair and was the weakest villain. Along with characters that had substantial hair that was really weak such as Walt Jr., Saul, Badger, Gale, and especially Tortuga the snitch.

Yep, Especially cause we know he has a weak spot for kids from that one episode where he took care of the atm robbers kid
I was expecting more from this episode tho >D Gilligan did say we were gonna hate him right? For some random *** kid? I thought it was gonna be Flynn hanging himself in his room until he spoke

i really thought walt was gonna beat the living daylights out of walt jr for not obeying his mom. walt beating down his handicapped son would really make him look like a villian...

 Hey man that's a good show.
I aint even bother making a thread for the dope season premiere though.

is it really a good show? season 1 is on netflix stream and was thinking about watching...

as for todd i thought he was gonna be the one to die when the train was bout to take off again...

Are you guys talking about Hells on Wheels?

I literally just finished the first ep.

Potential foreshadowing regarding Lydia (found it on Reddit):

Take a look at this screen cap from last night's episode.

They used this shot four times in that scene. She's even handcuffed. Sure, it could just be there because it's a cool shot, but it makes me wonder if it's telling us that maybe Lydia will end getting caught and going to prison.

Alternatively, it could just be showing how she is both literally and figuratively stuck helping Walt, Mike and Jesse. Thoughts?

Very interesting.

Finally caught up with Sunday's episode.

SHM this dude Landry (Todd for non-FNL viewers) already catching bodies. It was bound to happen. Maybe he's gonna try and smash Epyck too

All these half-measures, its definitely not gonna end well for Mike.

Dawg, where the hell is Saul? He has not been in enough episodes this season.

They made Jr. so whiney and emo. His only value to the show is eating breakfast. Walt is so stubborn and Sklyar's suggestion of sending Jr. away to a boarding school is a good idea.

Look a few pages back, there was a picture asking why the show needs a hairstylist. Plus it's New Mexico, a short haircut is good to battle the heat.

Great season, don't we only have two more episodes before it goes off for another half a year?

Anyways, I'm already waiting for Sunday to come around.

lydia said that where the heist takes place will be a dead zone (no cell service, roads, people, etc.)... So that kid on the motorcycle and the "good samaritan" who helped move the truck have to have some significance; why would they just be in the middle of nowhere?? I feel like the good samaritan is in the preview for next weeks episode, wearing all black, when they meet up in the desert :nerd:

^
The guy in the truck could've just been driving by and the kid was just riding his dirtbike around catching spiders. Just because an area doesn't have reception doesn't mean people won't be driving past it on the way to somewhere.

They should have never made that 'small town security' show... That's the real waste of money.

My god yes. So they decide to take money and use it towards the worst show in history, and take it from one of the best shows on TV right now. Makes a ton of sense AMC. Kill yourself. lol

The Small Town Security budget is peanuts. That would not have made any difference.

I like it and feel it's a good show. Starts off slow as it establishes the time period and tries to hook fans that way but the draw is the characterization and the reveals about certain characters pasts as they develop them in the current setting.

I'd say check it out on netflix. I'd think you'd know you like it by the 4th ep or not.
I wonder what Hell on wheels budget is.
It's probably less than The Killing or at best tied with them. The setting looks like it takes place the where the farm is in TWD, all they did was add some train tracks and have ppl set up camp their to make it look like a new frontier moving westward. The main difference is they manage to have more action in that setting than TWD ever had on the farm for obvious reasons.

towards the end of the show they had yet another shot of a bird flying away if anyone caught it......i recall someone said that the bird foreshadowed someone dying soon and i didnt really buy it so i sarcastically said oh look someone is gonna get capped and the....BOOM, the random kid gets got. Crazy.

Im gonna start paying more attention to the symbolic details from now on.

Also caught the Heat movie reference too.
