Breaking Bad Thread - "El Camino" - A Breaking Bad Movie on Netflix 10/11

Well Gus never poisoned a kid either.

And if people are really rooting for him because they want the bad guy to win. Then you would have rooted for Gus, Crazy 8, Tuco, etc.

The truth is people are making excuses for and rooting for Walt because he does look like 70% of the country. And his transformation resonates with the deep desires of a lot of the male majority

No race derail tho

i'm 19 and black.

why am i rooting for Walt?

Brock was the reason why Walt was able to kill those 9 guys.
what i meant was that if walt's goal was to get jessie back on his side, killing brock would have been a lot more effective, if he truly were that evil.

He looks up the the facade of his father. A reformed gambler who went through hell because his wife almost left him, yet still turned it all around and was able to obtain a successful business and thereby ensure the stability and security of his family. Hell, I'd look up to my father too if he were able to buy me da hemi. Dude has the engine roaring and is still able to hear the sound of ninja's jimmies being russled all the way in da heights.

I couldn't figure out if his most emphasized on tears were for Mike or that the fact that he knew Walt was lying straight to his face.

My guess is Jesse is afraid. He knows that if he gets in the way he can be disposed of too. The way Walt said "I NEED you to believe" was a warning in my opinion. He realized Walt was playing him the entire time.

Jesse knows Walt killed Mike, he just agreed Mike was alive because he didn't have a choice to dispute it in front of Walt like that or he knew he'd be in danger.

My rooting interest was 1)Jesse, 2)Mike, 3) Walt. Despite everything Walt's done I was still pulling for him for the most part until he killed Mike. That and him letting Jane die were the two things that got to me the most for whatever reason. That whole story arc with Jane/Jesse/Heroin was over the top sad/depressing to me, even in comparison to the rest of the series.

Even with all the evil stuff he's done, I still want Walt to get away with it unless he kills Jesse. He could probably off any of the other remaining characters and I'd still be rooting for him in the back of my mind  He's had so many close calls that I can't help but root for him to get away with it all in the end.

Really interesting theory about Badger's Star Trek story.
I aint read yet but damn theoried about everything

EDIT

After reading, dude does have a point and he is right about what Badger talks about just on Star Trek alone before we get to philosophy. Trekkies argue about the whole transporter killing and remaking you a lot. There was an even an episode where cuz of some problem the transporter had created a clone of Commander Ryker in his past and the question was raised about who was the real one. The analogy definitely does apply to Walter White and I don't think it was there for no reason.
My whole thing with brock is if walt wanted to bring jessie to his side without a doubt in jessie mind he would have killed brock
Brock was the reason why Walt was able to kill those 9 guys.
Brock was the reason why Walt was able to kill Gus not those 9 guys. Killing the 9 guys was cuz Lydia told him who was who.

Love the show. glad netflix allowed me to catch up and actually get to watch the show on TV.

Its like watchin a game with NT with all the discussion :D

Sucks that this is gonna be on during Sunday night football tho:rolleyes

i dont think walt is out as being heisenberg
i think that he is in some sort of witness protection
if he was gonna go back home and was considered a fugtive why go back to ur house in broad day light
i think that he is just in witness protection

Jesse def dying before season over. Ricin might be for him. Dont think Walt off him any other way. Its def not for himself, cus then he wouldnt have that choppa in the trunk. He prolly got the cartel on his asssh. Ricin is for a sneak kill. Someone hard to get to or hard to convince. He movin like he got a plan n got some unfinished biz. :pimp:

Well Walt didn't slit a dudes throat for no reason, and considering we don't know much about Gus, I wouldn't say that Walt is worse than Gus. And people are mainly rooting for him because the bad guy always dies or loses. Enough of that already. Give us something different.

Well Gus never poisoned a kid either.

Man yall both need to kill that noise. I was rooting for Gus. If Vince made a little prequel miniseries staring Giancarlo that would do HUGE #s. We know from Gus' past that he was an outcast that went against the odds, took some huge & personal losses (his OG partner, Gale, etc. Seems its hard for Gus to make friends) all to carve out his own place in this ruthless game.

I don't know all the dirt Gus did but what's on screen I'd say Walt's on his way to surpassing him.

Now I don't know why anyone would relate to Crazy 8 or Emilio, them dudes was scrub status. Middle of the pack dudes no matter what his status was he clearly wasn't that organized or prepared. Aint nobody rooting for that. If you relate to Tuco you got a ******g problem. It isn't as simple as wanting the bad guy to win. You can't downplay and under appreciate Walt's journey and evolution by saying he looks like 70% of the country. The second statement is more apt but that's cuz that point surpasses race.

Just near the end probably after he's exposed and yeah it was the ricin.

Seeing how he seemed to have lost everything and looks to be alone and exposed, could the ricin be for himself? Maybe he commits suicide? He seems to have lost everything, at least it looks that way? Who knows..

Just cause you shot Jesse James dont make you Jesse James - Mike. Walts in a world he doesn't belong in. I started out on Walts side at start of show but i can't condone the lying backstabbing coniving etc. I understand that he's doing it to preserve his life but the way he goes about it is ***** made. When Walter confronted Hank about the tracker; Hank could of lied and told him told him he didn't know about it and he'll have his buddies in the DEA take a look at it. Instead, Hank punched him right in his **** like a real man that stands for something. I'm not saying that Walter was supposed to kick Hanks *** to show he's a man but after he took his *** whooping like a man he didn't have to continue with the lies. The "tread litely" line was OK but someone really about that life would of sat Hank down and let him know that this is the new "family" business. Would've told him that his ties with DEA could be useful and if he's doesn't want to be down theres a hole in the desert that could find him useful.

Great premiere episode when Hank clicked the garage door to shut i was like

Now I remember why I avoided this thread for so long. Too many plausible theories. One of you guys is right and when it comes out that you are it will feel somewhat cheapened...

Show is so good

I wonder if Hank ever discovers the wire taps Walt put in his office

I know we are all just predicting and no one truly knows what's gonna happen but....

You have to be foolish to think Jesse would snitch to get off. He's already in a mental prison. He is tormented. He has always been and he's come to terms with who he is as a person ever since he admitted to those rehab people he was there to sell them meth.

Jesse goes to jail for Gale's murder, dies or suicide. But I would bet any money at any odds he doesn't snitch. Plus his only true father figure (Mike) was so anti snitching I don't see him breaking that code.

this made me think why is jesse so distraught over kaylee and drew but not gale who he actually murdered?  is it only because gale was an adult?
