Breaking Bad Thread - "El Camino" - A Breaking Bad Movie on Netflix 10/11

I go over it in my head over and over. I don't have an inkling what the Ricin is for. Why he had that, when he had guns in his trunk. Can't tell if Jesse wants to fight, or just wants it to end. Or why Hank held back. Or why Lydia/Todd matter.

So, I came up with this......

Jesse and Hank will compare some notes, but they won't do it to take down Walt. Walt is dying anyways from Cancer.

Hank is going to bring in Jesse, and both of them will team up with Walt, to take down Lydia and the Todd "cartel"

At that point, the blue business is over. No more meth will be made in that area outside of the tweaker small business stuff. The major drug ring(s) will be finished.

I think that is why Walt left for a while, and is now back, with guns, to join in the war. Maybe the ricin is for Lydia, she obviously isn't out there with guns blazing, as seen by her hiding when the gunfight went down. Now, she told Walt in ep 1 that he was "putting her in a box" and then in ep 2 she goes down into a box/bunker. But the box can still be a coffin, when he plants a cigarette in her pack (somehow) before the shooting starts.

Walt will be killed, Hank will live and save face as he ended all drug trafficking in New Mexico, and Jesse will ride off into the sunset. Lydia dead, Todd dead, and Todd's uncle and crew all dead.

Hank and Marie, Skylar and the kids, all live on with Walt's money, which he will provide the coordinates to Skylar before the final showdown.

This is the best I can come up with. We'll see how I do.
Allow me to play devil's advocate here.

I don't think Hank is going to change his mind about taking down Walt. He seemed adamant about making sure he caught Walt before the cancer got him (remember when he told Skyler he doesn't want him "running out the clock" + Marie is pushing him to catch Walt). He needs someone to confess and I don't think it'll be from Skyler

I'm not sure if Jesse will snitch either. Although he did mention in the hospital (after the Hank beatdown) to Walt that he has a get-out-of-jail-free card by giving up the info on Heisenberg back in season 3, I really don't see any other reason for him to co-operate with Hank. I still think Jesse has a certain loyalty towards Walt lying deep down inside and he still despises Hank for what he did to him. What will he benefit from this other than taking down Walt? He won't feel better about himself. He would put himself in potentially greater danger. I just don't see enough of a reason for him to snitch.

For Hank to take down Walt, he would either have to find a major piece of substantial evidence or he would have to find someone else to confess. Who else is there can spill the beans about Walt? Only other options I see are Lydia and Saul. Saul is absolutely terrified of Walt and his capabilities and he's a lawyer so I don't see him being the one. So I think it may be Lydia that becomes the snitch, especially since she's a bit of a loose cannon. She would do anything to save her own ***.

Lydia won't threaten Walt, she's too scared of him. It's gonna take a lot for Walt to die at this point, Mainly because has nothing to live for, his cancers back, Hank knows, he can't trust skylar, and he can't reach Jesse. Walt is gonna **** shi* up before this show ends, In true scarface fashion but he won't die.

last episode of the series is called felina

She was also scared of Mike and that didn't stop her from putting a hit out on him.

I think Gus would've had Hank killed in that scenario. Put a scare in Walt and gets rid of a problem. I think he'd poison him the same way he had one of twins murdered after the shootout.
True i wasnt thinking about gus but yea hank would have died in one minute

i could see lydia's nervousness causing her to overreact or otherwise give herself away somehow

this i agree with as well, walt wont be defeated by anyone but himself

what if jesse ends up in jail after talkin to/not talking to hank, and todd n his uncle kill him in jail sparking walt's fury

my question is how does jesse get arrested and saul not know, i guess this is where losing mike hurts

walt is all but confirmed dead at this point , the question is who is gonna be felina

the baby

skylar

jesse

seem like the only options at this point

my guess is skylar now that she's all in on her decision to ride with walt

I think it's going to be Skyler. Everyone's going to be mad that she doesn't die, but it'll definitely be a great closure to an amazing series.

Walt is gonna play "I need a ride or die bitc** when they drive off in the sun set, on the last episode.

Too much to read and sift through. Link?

That would be to much to go through so I am just going to post the lyrics. :lol:

Out in the West Texas town of El Paso
I fell in love with a Mexican girl.
Night-time would find me in Rosa's cantina;
Music would play and Felina would whirl.

Blacker than night were the eyes of Felina,
Wicked and evil while casting a spell.
My love was deep for this Mexican maiden;
I was in love but in vain, I could tell.

One night a wild young cowboy came in,
Wild as the West Texas wind.
Dashing and daring,
A drink he was sharing
With wicked Felina,
The girl that I loved.

So in anger I

Challenged his right for the love of this maiden.
Down went his hand for the gun that he wore.
My challenge was answered in less than a heart-beat;
The handsome young stranger lay dead on the floor.

Just for a moment I stood there in silence,
Shocked by the FOUL EVIL deed I had done.
Many thoughts raced through my mind as I stood there;
I had but one chance and that was to run.

Out through the back door of Rosa's I ran,
Out where the horses were tied.
I caught a good one.
It looked like it could run.
Up on its back
And away I did ride,

Just as fast as I

Could from the West Texas town of El Paso
Out to the bad-lands of New Mexico.

Back in El Paso my life would be worthless.
Everything's gone in life; nothing is left.
It's been so long since I've seen the young maiden
My love is stronger than my fear of death.

I saddled up and away I did go,
Riding alone in the dark.
Maybe tomorrow
A bullet may find me.
Tonight nothing's worse than this
Pain in my heart.

And at last here I

Am on the hill overlooking El Paso;
I can see Rosa's cantina below.
My love is strong and it pushes me onward.
Down off the hill to Felina I go.

Off to my right I see five mounted cowboys;
Off to my left ride a dozen or more.
Shouting and shooting I can't let them catch me.
I have to make it to Rosa's back door.

Something is dreadfully wrong for I feel
A deep burning pain in my side.
Though I am trying
To stay in the saddle,
I'm getting weary,
Unable to ride.

But my love for

Felina is strong and I rise where I've fallen,
Though I am weary I can't stop to rest.
I see the white puff of smoke from the rifle.
I feel the bullet go deep in my chest.

From out of nowhere Felina has found me,
Kissing my cheek as she kneels by my side.
Cradled by two loving arms that I'll die for,
One little kiss and Felina, good-bye
.

Walt dying would be wack
It would be wack from the our perspective because the majority of us want to see him get away with it. However, him living and getting away with it just leaves us with a cliffhanger and not a real definitive ending.

You have to take into account the common theme in the show that is "no half measures", which I'm sure the writers believe in completely as they write the script. Ending with him escaping would be a half measure on their part because it doesn't close up the loose-ends of the story.

Damn near every main character in a come up story deals with them dying. I just want something different.
