Breaking Bad Thread - "El Camino" - A Breaking Bad Movie on Netflix 10/11

I understand that Huell is quick with his hands and lifted the cigarette pack with the ricin cig in it, but how did he manage to put the pack back? His goal was to only lift the ricin cig, and later in the episode outside of the hospital we see that Jesse still has the rest of the pack.

he took the whole pack, ricin cig and all and replaced with with the duplicate dummy pack that jesse had later

The think the job that Walt wants Todd's uncle for is for himself, to fake his own murder. That way with Walt "out of the picture", Hank won't continue trying to get him and Jesse will stop going after him.

what I was thinking, especially with only 4 episodes left.

Walt doesn't want to dispose of Jesse, I think it ends up biting him in the *** though.

I hope not.. What i didn't get? Who gave jesse the cigs? Walt acted as he didn't do it..

Yeah, could end up being a twist. Walt uses Aryan crew to fake his own death to protect his own family to take the heat off. Jesse and Hank think they're a step ahead of the game right now, and they were with the voicemails, but Walt isn't biting the bait and he's taking the lead back with this one. My only concern would he notify Skyler about this? And if he does, how would he inform Walt Jr about it?

Ok. I am really confused. I though the cig with ricin was for Gus to smoke. Jessie never got the chance to swap it out.. The boy that got sick was a poison that turned out to be a berry from a rare plant? At the end of that episode they showed walt in his back yard looking and he looked at the plant... That was the last episode of that season..

Wasnt there only 1 cig with ricin? Isnt that what walt was getting from the outlet on the 1st episode?

Yes that's the problem and why Jesse lost it. Jesse had it, the kid got sick, Jesse couldn't find the cig. Jesse thought brock got the cig, and Walt even had him thinking Gus was involved in this. It swung the momentum with Jesse being down with Mike and Gus and brought Jesse back to Walt.

The kid got better b/c it was the plant. Walt planted the cig for Jesse to think he had just misplaced it, and life went on.

So after all of this time.. Jesse goes to smoke a cig and a light goes off?? He has been smoking this whole time. Was it a different pack? Was something different?

the main point was he noticed how easily Huell lifted the cig from him and figured he did the same thing with the ricin cigarette that's why he went back to Saul's to confirm and he admitted it

Jesse was smoking weed and Saul didn't want him to when his guy was supposed to pick him up so Huell lifted the weed from him when we patted him down. He remembers when Huell patted him down in season four and it was similar to how he patted him down in Confessions. He figures out that Huell lifted the weed from him and that Huell lifted the ricin from him and not Gus like Walt said he did.

he was looking for his pot that Saul made him stop smoking in his office. homie took it off him when they bumped into each other as Jesse was leaving saul's office. he realized that the same guy took the ricin like he originally suspected a while ago.

Ok, got it.. So he was reaching for his weed n pulled out the smokes instead. He thinks walt was involved and the smokes are laced which they were not?

He doesn't think the cigs were laced. He just put it together that Huell lifted the weed off of him and that he did it the other time.

If it took this long for Walt to realize that he needed to get rid of Jesse, than really how much "ahead" is he.

For as smart a chessplayer as Walt is, he has his vulnerabilities. He is not untouchable.

no.

remember originally walt created the ricin for jesse to kill gus by putting it in his food or drink.  the cigarette was just to hide it so that jesse wouldnt be walking around with a vial of ricin on him.

after gus threatened walt and his family and his infant daughter, walt had to think fast, because he didnt know when gus was coming.

jesse was being worked by gus and mike at this time, so in order to make jesse not trust gus, walt used the previous information of tomas getting killed on gus' order to frame him for brock's poisoning.

in order to do this, he had to make jesse think that a) gus knew about the ricin and b) that gus had someone steal the poison

so he arranged for saul to meet with jesse and take his ricin cigarette (in order to do this, huell swapped jesse's entire pack of cigarettes with the ricin in it) and replaced it with a duplicate pack of cigarettes.

Now that jesse thought he lost the cigarette, combined with Brock getting poisoned, jesse went back to walt's side and gave him the information on gus meeting with hector salamanca.   this is crucial, without jesse's cooperation, walt never kills gus.  walt stages the finding of the fake cigarette.

now fast forward to confessions.  Huell pickpockets jesse's drugs, and jesse thinks back to when he lost the ricin cigarette and correctly deduces that walt was behind it.

It's time for Jesse to go to Belize. It's been time.

The kid is still alive dammit. Why take it to this level for the kid who is still alive but not for Gale who you murdered in cold blood? :smh:

Outta everything that gets thrown around in here this makes a lot of sense.
