My MarqueeSole experience

1. There was a lot of feedback regarding not doing enough homework.  Well, let's just say I spend countless hours scouring the web for deals on shoes.  I've bought 17 pairs of Lebron 9 Elite South Beaches from sites such as Kicks-Crew, Air-knight, and rmkstore.  All without any issues, other than the occasional damaged box.  Air-knight did cancel a couple orders of mine after a few days of holding my money which I wasn't to pleased about.
2. I am a retailer.  So before, you jump on me. This is how I've been able to help feed my family as I've been out of work for the last year and a half.  Buying and selling (a lot of my own collection) has helped generate on average 2-3k profit every month.  I don't know about you guys but not having any income vs. 2-3k, I'll take the later... thank you.
3. Again, thanks for your concerns, but again this is the COST OF DOING BUSINESS.  Buying shoes from overseas or sellers on eBay, etc. is always a risk.  In the end you just hope that reward outweighs the risk.  Hopefully a few readers here will see this topic and refrain from purchasing from these guys.
4.  I also keep hearing that this topic has been beaten to death.  Well, if it really has then wouldn't these guys be out of business???  I see their sites advertised on countless sneakerhead sites.
5. There was a question on how much these are South Beaches are going for... typically they've been selling anywhere from 600-850.

Again, thanks for the feedback.  My point here is to just get the word out.

Easy big guy... I'm new here, was still trying to figure out how to work the pics.  The pics automatically defaulted to my avatar.  I now have a legit pair in my avatar.  But thanks for the humor.

Not sure.  I'm thinking the guy probably operates here in the states.  I've noticed this a few times when ordering from certain sites.  Either listed as a US entity and actually shipped from overseas or like this, vice versa.... Overseas seller with a US entity.

Agreed.  I've purchased from Air-7-8 times already without an issue.  As I stated in my previous convo, only issue I had was they would sometimes cancel the order a few days after ordering claming to be out of stock.  They do apologize and claim its a problem with their site not always being up to date.  Shoes are always legit and clean.

As for the grouping all sites as scammers and fakes is something I've tried to let you guys know before is a little irresponsible...

I wont disagree ALL sites have their problems... but I've heard just as many complaints about Eastbay as I have about Marqueesole.

I've worked on the Fake Sites for YEARS and trust me... Nike and everyone else has been doing their IP (Intellectual Property) home work domestically and abroad and thousands of sites have been taken down.  THOUSANDS that sell fakes.

Notice RMK store has stacks on stacks on stacks of kicks and no one ever complains about them.

Im not defending any of the sites... and I've explained in MANY long diatribes how this all works.. in this forum and the Jordan one... people just gloss over it and keep grouping everyone into the same pie.

I will say that everyone is right.. you have the right to purchase where you want and folks will make their own decisions about what to do.. but accusing sites of selling fakes when you have no proof is utterly irresponsible.

"Hustling backwards"???? really? aren't we doing a bit of "accusing" ourselves here?
smile.gif

Seriously, where else can you make a 20-50%  profit on your investment?  So far I've sold quite a few South Beach 9s originally purchased at $480-500 for $600-750.  If this is "hustling backwards", by all means call me the BACKWARDS HUSTLER!

I truly find this statement hard to swallow.
Yes, Eastbay had there issues with packages getting damaged during transit but in the 12+ years I have dealt with them I have never questioned if a pair of Nikes are authentic or not.
I have never, never heard anyone say Eastbay was selling fakes, B grades, out the backdoor specials, etc. Marqueesole should not be mentioned in the same breath as Eastbay.

I'll clarify...

Complaints about Eastbay and complaints about Sites selling B Grades...

I never EVER said complaints about what.. My point was complaints..

If you've never seen complaints about seeing Footlocker or Finish line purchases from people who have switched fakes for reals then you havent been on NT long enough... I found those laughable as well.

Again.. not defending any site.. BUT to assume they sell fakes because they sell B Grades.. or the new term made up ""gray Pairs" is irresponsible

. For real.  Youd have to be an idiot to buy them for $750.  They could just search the internet and buy them from MS and pay less (still stupid).

Gents, you would be surprised at the number of people with disposable income who will pay $750 for them.
Why, because they have the money and for them spending time searching the internet to save a few bucks means nothing to them.
To the average Joe a hundred or two saved is a lot of money but to many people people it's like change in their pockets.

Therefore, I have no doubts that bnice sells his kicks for $750. I respect his hustle because he is still earning his money with
honest, hard work.

Wow, thank you kind sir.  I was going to explain exactly what you just described but it sounds so much better coming from another member like yourself.  Funny thing is, I used to be one of these guys who had to have a particular shoe no matter what the cost.  Now my recent financial downturn doesn't allow  me to do that anymore obviously.  I'm still a collector first and foremost so selling kicks does support my habit in a way as well as providing me some much needed income in these hard times.   It was my wife who gave me the idea to start this.  Little did I know that I would have been as successfull at it.  My initial goal was just to sell one or two kicks every release virtually paying for the one pair I kept for myself.  Next thing I'm buying 5-10 pairs, 10-20 pairs and so on.  In the year I've been doing this I've met a ton of interesting people and built a solid network of sneakerheads.  You'd be surprised at some of the people I come across that you'd never expect to be true sneakerheads.

Hard to believe you developed a network of "sneakerheads" when you're an admitted reseller who buys out stocks.

Ugh.

LOL, This coming from a guy with the following in his footer:
FS: DS LeBron IX Swingman Size 9 = $180 shipped paypal.

Who said I buy out whole stocks?  And who says I don't pay a premium for the multiple pairs I do get my hands on?  You sound like my stepfather who complains about the days when he used his Mickey Mantle rookie baseball cards in the spokes of his bicycle for fun and now hates that the fact that the card sells for thousands.
You mean to tell me if your local footlocker had multiple pairs available to you of a major release shoe in high demand, you wouldn't buy them because of some MORAL SNEAKERHEAD CODE you abide by???  Give me a break man, really???  Get on Nike's case for not producing enough sneakers for everybody, don't get on mine.
Like they say... don't hate on the playa, hate on the game.

umm, his footer is selling his DS pair for less than retail shipped. The "reseller" most people despise are the one's buying out multiple pairs to resell at a profit (at least x2).
