I want to hear from my Niketalk heads who hear loves/likes Bone thugs n harmony?

Who here dislikes them?
If you don't know who they are, Go listen to them!!! Their first 4 albums are pure dopeness.

1. Creepin On Ah Come Up
2. E.1999 Eternal
3. Art Of War
4. BTNHRESURRECTION

these 4 albums will turn you in to a fan.

I remember last year, i was talking to a youngin, 18 years old. He told me he didn't like Bone cause they rapped fast, their music sounds outdated

and he didn't know what they were saying.....

I was shocked since that was the first time i've heard this. I mean outdated? Geezus, i feel bad for him. I tried to talk sense in to him, but he said he just didn't like how they rap and their beats were "old" and outdated.

I told him he was missing out and that their old school music is better than anything on the radio. He went on blabbing how he likes Drake, Messy Marv and a gang of Bay Area music (not a big fan of new school bay area music)
Am i the only one here on NT who loves Bone?

Discuss.

First 2 albums were pretty good plus some few tracks off Art of War. I just felt that BTNH began to fall off when Bizzy wen M.I.A. and they started the whole Mo Thug family thing. Things just kind of gotten saturated and all. Hell most of the local rappers in my area STILL flow like BTNH to this day

Still, they were definite players back in the mid to late 90s.

Messy Marv been in the rap game since 95 or 96, not sure if that qualifies as new school bay are rap.......have to agree tho bone thugs made sum classics and shud b on every hip-hop heads ipod no doubt!!!!!!

@donmega you and thousands of people feel the same way. my brothers, cousins, friends all say the same thing, but i think Art Of War is their best album to date. Bizzy was MIA for the reason because he felt they were being robbed and not getting paid as they should. Layzie, Flesh, Krayzie and Wish came out with Mo Thugs in 1996, right after E.1999 and before Art Of War. It was a successful album along with the 2nd Mo Thug album.

I honestly think when Thug World Order came out, it was a huge disappointment to hardcore fans like myself. Anything before that album it was great. BTNH has truly influenced many rappers nowadays and even the OGs in the game.

@805kingpin Messy Marv use to be cool, but i haven't been feeling his music for years now. homeboy is on a coke hype and startin up nonsense beef that seems to be affecting his music.

beginning of the end for me.

love BTNH

Creepin On Ah Come Up & E.1999 Eternal are my favorite albums from them.

Love Bone Thugs. Art of War is probably my favorite, and BTNH Resurrection is dope too. I even check out a handful of their side projects,
where there are plenty of hits & misses. Krayzie Bone was my favorite for a very long time, then I gradually started listening to Krayzie Bone
more. Their 2007 album is

too, even without Bizzy Bone. The production was so fresh and melodic, everything flowed so perfectly.

I've always held Bizzy Bone in the highest regard. His ability and courage to push the boundaries of rap/R&B harmonies still haven't been rightfully recognized. Singing/rapping is something he did best. He's like an old school gangsterized Drake of sorts.

same here. I bought that damn mo thug family album and was disappointed.  I used to listen to them all the time. I had the e.99 album with the og crossroads and even had that faces of death cd but someone broke into my house and stole them.

My favorites bone thugs n harmony albums.. They're one of the greatest rap groups of all time..imo..

To me they're in the discussion for best rap group of all time. Along with the NWAs, Beastie Boys, Run DMCs, etc.

E 1999 is seriously a top 20 rap album of all time for me... replay value is so high, that %@%# is fantastic on driving trips, I put it on and nod my head

i'm one of those rare hardcore fans who think Art Of War was a better album than E.1999Eternal. Don't get me wrong, E.1999Eternal is a dope album, their best commercial album (it became commercial after it released the 2nd time in 1996 with "Tha Crossroads Dj Uneek Remix")

The reason why? The production on the album was top notch, each member evolved and their flow were even better (especially Bizzy), double album (more music), they were quicker than ever!

Layzie Bone is releasing an album called "The Archives" and it will contain music that didn't make it in their albums (Creepin On Ah Come Up, E.1999Eternal, Art Of War etc)

I like them alot
Crossroads
Wake Up
are my two favorite songs by them
