Im thinking about getting the same pair or something else.

when I say GYM shoes, I mean workout, weight-lifting, racquetball shoe.

any advice? thanx in advance.

i'd say the nike roshe runs...very comfy and seem great for running or lifting

Your preference for racquetball throws a wrench in the mix because that requires your workout shoe to have some sort of lateral stability/traction that you definitely will not be getting from a Air Max runner. Any sort of basketball shoe will do, but since you're just working out you'd probably prefer a low top...

If you want cheap, just call around your local outlets and find yourself some hyperfuse lows. Serviceable shoe, not going to blow you away but definitely won't disappoint. If you're willing to spend more, i'd go with anything from the kobe line. I've lifted in those a fair amount, and I genuinely prefer lifting in zoom air over max. Just my two cents...

Those are made for very light running/casual wear

Grab a nike free trainer. Nike free Haven's are nice. You will want some sort of lateral stability for racquet ball

Or a recent kobe sig

Any type of weights: Converse
Raquetball: any cheap running shoe should do.
Don't overspend on gym shoes.

This is my issue as well, I tried some Air Max's, and they didn't work well.  I'm using some Hurache Frees now, but they still don't have enough lateral support.

Someone below meantioned the Free Trainers or Free Havens.  The 5.0s seem to have support for side to side movements, from what I read, so I might try those.  I do Insanity, which involves a fair amount of side to side stuff.  Plus, they are a little cheaper than the Free Havens.

free trainers, free havens, lunar/air edge... the edges you can find at outlets, nordstrom racks and whatnot

Do the Nike free 3.0 v4 and free haven 3.0 have the same drop off in heel to toe measurements? I know the free 3.0 v4 has a 4 mm drop and I'm just wondering about the havens......

im no branch warren, but seriously, why would anyone suggest running shoes to lift weights?

have u all even tried that?

basketball shoes are fine, but i'd say go for something low end, ie something without those big air max bubbles. zoom air is slightly better, but most definitely, go for something foam based. adidas hoops shoes come to mind, since they're all foam, or eva or watever it is.

just not air max.

I second this, foam and zoom air based kicks work well for me as well
