Yeah me too for the past year. I usually eat lunch at work, then start drinking at 6pm when I get home.....eat dinner if I get the beer munchies.

Ive started to work back out tho, no more everyday drunk

Eating 4-5-6 meals a day usually apply to the bodybuilders. I always eat breakfast, lunch, dinner during the weekda cause of work and night classes but on holidays, weekends or any days off i tend to eat less. For an example i'd eat breakfast, a snack and then dinner.

2 meals a day. Monday - Saturday
Breakfast : Eggwhite on 1 slice Ezekiel Bread. Cup of low carb Yogurt. Oatmeal sweetend with splenda  blueberries & prunes, banana
Snack: Peanut butter on  1 slice of Ezekiel Bread
Dinner. Brown rice or sweet potato Chicken Breast & vegetables.
Snack: Peanut butter on  1 slice of Ezekiel Bread

Sunday I eat everything I missed out on through the week until I get sleepy

Also, snacking all day or eating more frequent smaller meals is bad for your teeth. Keeps a constant flow of bacteria building on your teeth/in your gums. Unless you want to floss/brush 4 or 5 times a day.

this

and there was an research somewhere that eating 4-5 meals is worst than eating 2-3 meals a day
i didnt remember the website though

lots of dudes that lift/care about their health say 2-3 > 4-5
not to doubt you bro but I would love to read this article because it flies in the face of everything I've ever read about dieting

Usually I'll have 2 meals a day. Sometimes I'll just have 1 large dinner portion because my schedule doesn't allow me to have 3 meals a day.

Normally just one, sometimes Ill have a small snack. Intermittent fasting FTW. Went from 230 to weighing in at 164 this morning.

Just 1 meal a day. 2000 calories worth.

Losing 2lbs a week.

Its all about calories your eating and burning at the end of the day. Number of meals is irrelevant when it comes to weight loss or bulking (for some)

Some people only consume liquids. I've heard of people drinking smoothies quite commonly. For me, other than spiritual reasons, fasting is about using up the least amount of energy needed to digest food so that that energy can go towards other biological means. That and not introducing new calories so that your body will feast on the fat stores and toxin stores that have caloric worth already inside you.
10 lbs of fat is equal to about 35,000 calories, which should last you about half a month on a 1800 calorie day.
what other rules do you go by when your fasting? I'm thinking about fasting to lose some weight. but i do play basketball/lift weights almost everyday so how is that gonna effect me?

I try to eat 3-4 medium sized meals throughout the day. Mostly protein, I cut out a lot of carbs. I cant do the whole 6 small meals a day thing.

Fixed.

And yes, I brush my teeth ATLEAST 3 times a day. If you don't, then you're disgusting.

Lately I've been slacking off eating 2 bigger meals a day, but before this past week or so I was doing 4-5 medium meals because I was running 3-5 miles a day and hitting the gym up twice a day. Trying to lose fat but gain mass. I could tell it was making a difference within just 2 and a half weeks. I need to get up off my lazy #+% and get back to it though.

You're insecure about yourself, just like many people that chase aesthetics.  I've seen people starve, eat outrageous diets, only to look good.  In reality, they can't play sports, they are weaker than they look, and they have a very very 'weak' image of themselves.

It's impossible for you to take on such rigorous activities if you consume very little calories.  It's unhealthy, a short term fix and an unsustainable lifestyle.  A REAL LIFESTYLE change takes time because it's a genuine one.  Didn't you read how Michael Phelps had to consume nearly 10,000 calories a day to sustain himself?

I doubt you'll be able to increase your strength, let a lone build muscle mass if you don't have 'energy'.  Fasting is absurd and another psychological issue that people endure to placate themselves.  In a way, it's like a way of repenting so that their conscience is better satisfied.

I don't know about that... but here's the first link that brought up when I googled it.

http://www.webmd.com/oral.../brushing-teeth-mistakes

Says brushing twice is recommended, but brushing 3 times is best.

It would make sense though, given the fact that you could be destroying your gums and teeth enamel.

I'm with the one meal at the end of the day feast crowd during the work week. I don't have time for breakfast and lunch at work.
