Vinyl Collection Thread... vol. crate diggers welcome

Haruomi Hosono - Bara To Yaju

I dare you to try & find a record by this guy. Japanese funk/soul from 1973...

This is me back in 94-95. I currently have a giant wall of vinyl that I would like to sell but i know I won't get nearly the value that they are worth unless I sell them individually which would take years.

1000

:wow: @ Just with the Stark Reality joint!

That's one of those joints i'll probably NEVER have.

I just got a few more of my grails too.

I'll post them shortly.

Heeeeeeeere weee go...

(^Original EMI pressing from 74'.
The ORIGINAL was a UK only release.
The most expensive record I own)

you can always start off getting rid of the sure sellers. see that jeru hiding in there. very well rounded selection, i see east/west coast, what was current for the time and "old school" joints too. just peeped that mad kap :wow:

Some new digs from this week all blind buys. The Azymuth  record is pretty nice. I already started flipping these.

The Sergio Mendes joint is classic, his version of "Morning" is a lot better than Cal Tjader's in my opinion. Just for funsies I started running a few of these through my Electrix Filter Queen with the resonance real sharp. **** sounds pretty tough.

Nice pick ups truseone....

Will check this out for sure.
Just checked it out and downloaded the app. Will def come in handy when I'm out crate digging. Easier to search for stuff, and it has everything at your fingertips from track listing, average price (amazon, discogs, eBay), label, cat number, genre/style, picture of artwork, and credits. A few things need to be improved, but worth the 2.99$ for the app.

Nice man.. and DJ Honda did flip that record pretty nice on that El Presidente joint for certain.

I have a very small collection, mainly hand me downs from my mom. I usually put them on when I go to her house on a juke box . I think its time for me to get my own set up for my own house. I have the turntable picked out. I know I need speakers (any suggestions????) will i need anything else? ....I don't plan on mixing, just for listening.

You might need a phono preamp and a receiver for the speakers.

I just got into this; ordered a turntable and preamp last week. Was at a club last night - my friend set up the show. Picked up a few albums there by local electronic artists. Gonna start hitting up some record shops soon, looking forward to getting into this.

my digging has gotten really good, this is stuff ive gotten this month.

some gong- which was used for oochie wally, 10CC that dilla flipped for workinonit and just alot of HEAT.

before i would go dig and not find ish, now im getting exactly what i needed, im just building an arsenal.

all dirt cheap too.

this is what my collection looks like, im going to get rid of alot of stuff and trade it for store credit in order to narrow it down to only useful stuff.

i use an mpc2500 just chop and make loops, also own an eps 16+ that im still learning, i just got an imac which i will use to record into logic.

Very interested, and about to purchase my 1st turntable. I'm no DJ, just looking for something that plays great music with solid sound. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Table, receivers and speakers? Really just need help with finding a cost efficient, solid starter table. I've done a decent amount of research, but I'm still unsure. Opinions/ratings are very vague.
