I actually liked being the 2P color or side...made the character stand out imo. Plus it helped that i always ended with the higher score

Man f the bull Luigi is my dude by choice! He got that chip on his shoulder like us younger siblings do lol.

You were either the younger sibling or the friend who came over to play video games because you didn't have a system yourself.

This and being the blue ranger for halloween or the red character in double dragon..

player 1 playing the game with friends..

we played alot of sports-based videogames in my household

but anytime we wanted to play, i always had to set it up and get everything ready to where he can just come in and immediately be handed a controller and start playing.

man that is jus a coping mechanism.

im the middle child and so i know what OP is talkin bout.  yea i used to tell myself, being Luigi is cool, or Robin aint too bad, not everyone gotta be Batman.  But it was all a coping mechanism to  help accept the fact that I was #2.

its funny you mention 2P side and have Dan as your avy.  When SF2 first came out, 2P side was a distinct disadvantage because everyone was more accustomed to shooting fireballs and shoyruken uppercuts from the left side.  This is when being the younger brother 2P sucked the most.  Not only were we relegated to always starting on the right side, but because of this disadvantage it left us susceptible to more losses and more s-talkin.

Same! It was like I had to set up the console, blow into the cartridge, untangle all the remotes, and if I accidentally had the 1st player remote, I got hit with the

and then had to immediately switch!

It was on and poppin when I got to play with the younger cousins though! I took the

to new levels and added swear words and head slaps to the mix! Damn, I miss those days!

as an older brother i had no idea what my little bro had to deal with. if he ever got upset though, i would tell him to learn from my mistakes.
