Joey Bada$$ 1999 mixtape

Dude isn't average, he can rap and its a real good debut tape for a 17 year old, I'm just saying his sound can still be developed while keeping its integrity.

I understand what you were saying, but I was just adding my own two cents on top of that. My fault, I wasn't trying to misinterpret your view.

so far so dope

Which is the most intriguing part. He's 17 and has a great foundation to build and grow on. I support this.

THISSSS

The skills are there.  I am extremely impressed for such a young kid.  The first song I heard from him I immediately thought of MF DOOM.  That track that MF produced on the mixtape vibes incredibly well.

Refreshing mixtape to say the least

This +#* is straight dust.

You dudes have been waiting for someone to come out with decent lyrical talent who doesn't rap on Lex Luger beats so you can call him ''the savior of hip hop''.

If son wants a future he's gonna have to change his style up. You can still be lyrical, but the beats are gonna need to change. Also ''Joey Bada$$''? Really? That name wouldn't even work in the 90's it's definitely not gonna work in 2012. I mean money symbols? Really?

Son has some talent I won't deny that but he needs to change some things if he wants to blow up. He's only 17 so he can grow as an artist (hopefully).

So far so good. Give it a chance. The tape is nice , yes it sounds like 90s rap but to be honest its pretty damn good . He's got skills .

I am very impressed

edit: also I recognize that beat on Survival Tactics from somewhere, I know its Big L but can't think of the song right now.

Just downloaded this to see what the hype was. Dude is pretty talented but he aint THAT nice. Nice change of pace from what I've been listening to though. I hope changes his name, it's pretty corny

Spoiler [+]
Earl Sweatshirt > this cat

I'll take a kid that sounds like an average 90s dude over 95% of these garbage !!# new cats any day of the week. For me, even average cats back then %$$$ on most of the disposable hip-hop we have today.

tape is dope. average? let's see ya'll on the mic and find out what average is.

dont compare earl to this cat, bada$$ and earl are in different lanes imo and both excel in their own rights

. I'd take this over a generic trap tape any day and the kid can really spit. Great debut for someone so young.
